We have now visited this restaurant several times in the past few months and the food and service is always consistently good. They have a very regular following and we can see why. I love the eye fillet which is always perfectly cooked and my wife is spoilt for choice with all the fish, salads and pasta on offer. She loves meeting her friends there for lunch and besides their normal menu they have a very reasonable lunch menu as well.
The wine list is comprehensive but the quality is great and they offer almost everything by the glass. I love the many desserts on offer, especially the brulee, cheesecakes and sticky date. The coffee is superb too and its always good to finish a meal on such a high note. Our dining companions agree that this place is a great find. Portions are large and prices are reasonable. We are hooked.

My partner and I went here last night for dessert and coffee. I found the crumble portion to be small and although the menu states it as being warmed it wasn’t with a very small scoop of ice-cream. I politely asked for it just to be warmed a bit more. The pie came back on the same plate, not warmed other than what felt like the lights on the pass as it comes out of the kitchen and the crumble all over the plate.
I used to work in the industry and a fresh plate would’ve been the baseline minimum in a pricey restaurant. The waiters were overfriendly bordering on unprofessional. I didn't make a fuss, its not worth it over a piece of crumble, however, for a $30 main restaurant and a $12 dessert I expected a little bit more. The cake itself was obviously bought in, small portion and coles vanilla icecream. If they can't get a basic dessert right then I'm not about to go back.

Casual restaurant with good food. Service is fantastic. The woman at the entrance (probably the owner) takes care of every body very well.

The vast majority of people that I know who go there, only go because it can be the only place around open on a Sunday or that has aircon in summer. Its desserts are nice but kitchen service is very slow. The soft drinks are always flat. The menu is (too) varied, over priced and nothing stands out, its all a bit bland. The decor is horrible. How in the world this keeps winning "best restaurant".

This place cannot make up its mind if it is Italian, Asian or Aus because the menu covers the field - from pasta/pizza to Satay.
Food. Rather ordinary - teriyaki was salty and the satay sauce was synthetic and unappetising. Portions were quite substantial.
Ambience. Very noisy - babies bawling, kids running around and going ape as if it was a playground - at 10.00 pm! The whole decor needs to be revisited - the seats were filthy from food and drink spillage and the whole place just had a grubby, run-down look about it.
Service. This was the only redeemng feature. The staff were efficient, polite and attentive. Value for Money. Well, you get what you pay for and it came to $30 per head. Not a place that I will return to for a third time as the last 2 experiences were line-ball.

We love going to Belaroma, especially for breakfast. The eggs benedict is a fairly large serving on turkish bread with generous amounts of hollandaise sauce and choice of spinach, ham or smoked salmon (though my partner has asked for and received bacon instead!) Eggs always cooked perfectly. Hash browns are a bargain as they serve two for the price that most other cafes serve one! The breakfast used to be buy one get one free so was exceptional value - Belaroma should definitely bring this special back and we'd be there much more often. The service is the best thing about Belaroma. The waitresses are always top notch, friendly and efficient.

We do not live locally and have been here 7 or 8 times to celebrate birthdays or anniversaries, twice in the last two months. Last Saturday we noted Cafe Belaroma was awarded first prize in the 'restaurant' category of The North Shore Times Business Awards which must say something about local perceptions. We always try something different and enjoy the range of choice, the prompt and friendly service, and despite location on the busy Pacific Highway you are not distracted by any noise.
Criticisms have been made about the duck served, well, remember Basil Fawlty's experience! He might have finally admitted, 'sorry, the duck's off' but there are still plenty of other dishes to enjoy and that we have.

For what this is - cafe dining - it's great.
Food: Huge variety but expect cafe style food (menu has the tendency to take a poetic license). Generous servings and kitchen is always willing to accommodate requests for variations.
Service: The service is exceptional and they look after their regulars. Staff are especially patient with elderly patrons and always friendly.
A great local place for mid-week dining or a catch up over coffee and dessert.

Went for dinner a few nights ago and the food and service was exceptional. The slow roasted duck and the Eye fillet was definitely a standout and you have to try the creme brulee, yummo and it is BYO. Definitely recommend.

Group outing for a set price and value for money. Receiving my Drambuie in a kitchen glass was just a little off-putting at the price. Drink prices are rather exorbitant and it's non-BYO.
