The perfect location for a relaxed casual weeknight dinner. The food is wholesome and delicious. I particularly recommend their antipasti plate which has some of the most flavourful salami I have ever tasted. The carrot soup is also divine. Service is friendly but professional. The location is perfect, easy to get to but hidden away enough for the restaurant to feel like a cosy getaway.

Fantastic food, friendly helpful service, lovely wine what more can you ask for. The Monday special is an absolute bargain, it is not a cheap, get people in the door offer, it truly showcases the amazing food that they have on offer. We can't wait to go back and sample more from the menu.

Can anyone tell me where the old owners moved on to? I have been overseas for several years and was really disapointed to find that new ownership was managing my once favourite restaurant.
Bei Amici is still a lovely little place but lacks the old world charm peter and elle used to bring. Plus the wine list is well expensive - im sure this used to be a BYO? Anybody knowing peter and elle's next port of call, let us know. Those two really knew how to look after a customer.

Bei Amici is a hidden gem. We initially planned to get the $33 dollar special, but were so bowled over by the main menu, that we decided to go for that instead! I ordered the rabbit ragu with parpadelle. I'd never seen rabbit on a menu at any other restaurant in Sydney and it was divine. Stringy, tender rabbit in a sort of tomato stew with olives. And the parpadelle was hand-made, thin, and melt-in-your mouth. The desserts were pretty good, not amazing like the mains but still nice! Will definitely be coming back here.

Great food at reasonable prices. The intimate setting makes a great spot for a romantic night out or a quiet dinner with a family/friends.

Yum and Wow! I will go out for dinner 1 because I want to eat well, in which case I might just find a restaurant that looks good and the food appears to be good, or 2 because I want to make the night special, in which case I'll go to a place that I already know will give me an awesome experience.

I've seen a few reviews about Bei Amici but that night I was just looking for 1, some good food but it turned out to be 2, a magnificent night! The food was simply divine, the service perfect and the atmosphere extraordinary. Certainly one of my favourite restaurants and included on my list of special occasions venues.

When I go to a restaurant, I usually expect to be dazzled, but more often the experience is disappointing rather than enlightening. It is a good thing restaurants like Bei Amici exist, because they are exemplary for the fact that great food does not have to be over-expensive, neither over-presented. I went there last Friday, and can honestly say that I had some of the best food I ever tasted. The house made gnocchi with milk fed lamb and tomato ragu went down my throat as smoothly as the nero d'avola. Although I was full after entree and main, curiosity won and I ordered dessert, which was absolutely to die for. Everyone for whom taste and professional friendly service are of first priority should not miss out on dining here.

The first time I went to this place a couple of years ago I loved it, and the price. Now, the servings are smallish, prices high for a small restaurant that lacks modern flair. This should be a cheap but high quality eatery, unfortunately, it is not. The waiter service was quite rude and abrupt. The wine is a lot more expensive than it used to be. For the above average food, poor service and relatively high prices, I can no longer recommend this establishment, and will not return.

Booked a table here after a friend recommended this place and I have to say it didn't disappoint. Had an entree prawns and my boyfriend had the angel hair pasta. Then we shared the veal shin with saffron rissoto and the pumpkin and reggiano souflee..they were absolutley delicious.

The service was spot on.. food flavoursome and will definitely be going back again.

What a rip off! tiny portions, expensive wine list, uncomfortable seats. We were so hungry after a $150 dinner (for 2) that we ordered a take away pasta for home and they charged me $28!!! for a take away pasta!!!! $28!!!!!!!!! what a shocker!!
