We had a group booking here recently for a birthday, and let me just say that the 24 reviewers that have averaged a score of 7.0 for this place need to get out more.

Bed is a good concept on paper, but unfortunately this does not translate terrifically well onto either the plate or the seating (sleeping?) arrangements. While there are some chairs, you're most likely to be reclining on the raisons d'etre for this establishment: beds. These are cute for around twelve minutes, before becoming quite uncomfortable - there is, after all, a reason that people generally don't lie down for dinner in bed.

The food was similarly kitsch, and generally favoured style over substance. The menu is supposed to be modern tapas, but what no one seems to have explained to them is that tapas does not translate to degustation, and the painfully slow progression of miniature dishes only served to highlight their poor conception and execution. If they had brought several dishes to the table together, the experience would have been greatly improved.

Gnocchi with a Napoletana sauce of sorts were large and gluggy, and the sauce tasted as though it might have come from a supermarket-bought jar. Another dish of deep-fried squid was cooked well, albeit in an absurd amount of salt - I still feel thirsty thinking about it. A highlight was a dish they called "Steak and Chips"; a neat little stack of well-cooked (medium rare) beef with potato, aioli, chips and pesto. I wish there were two mouthfuls rather than one, because a bizarrely flavoured dish of fried rice balls with salmon (and Ajax?) quite nearly ruined the entire meal shortly thereafter.

Service is an area that needs some serious work - despite not being unduly busy, the bar staff struggled to get drinks to us in anything that might be described as a timely manner. The ingredients of some cocktails were awkwardly juxtaposed (sour apple martini with absynthe, anyone?), and they would do well to revise the spelling of their single malt selection if they want to be taken seriously as a bar.

All in all a cute concept, but one that needs a serious amount of polishing. While not expensive, at around $80 per head with a couple of drinks, I won't be heading back there until I've heard they've lifted the bar substantially on food and service.

Amazing layout and as the name suggests, the outer ring of the restaurant is lined with these bed booths each containing a central table. We decided on the tapas - each dish just as incredibly tasty as the next however the highlight of the night was the dessert tasting plate - in one word: exquisite!

The panacotta was sitting there, wobbling about, teasing me. There was what looked like a chocolate muffin but to our surprise, on breaking it open, this hot thick fudge came pouring out - incredible. A lemon marscapone almost tiramisu style dessert in a shot glass stood high off the plate and was as equally delicious as the previous 2 items. In a small glass pot was a cold rasberry reduction sauce that can be used as either a topping for the 2 scoops of icecream sitting on the plate Or as a drink - highly impressed with just the right amount of sweetness and bite to it.

In short: great restaurant amongst the other great restaurants in St Margarets Village - a must visit.

Great food here "extremely tasty" the stuffed peppers are amazing, also lots of veggie choices, my partner was so excited as he is a veggie......he had the Truffel mushroom polenta and the pumpkin balls !! delicious.

Good ambience , the beds are great " needs more fluffy pillows " Don't expect good service here, we had to go to the bar and ask for our own drinks ?? Service is slow and unprofessional.... but we will be back, i am sure it will improve...

I have been too this restaurant twice, and let me tell you the service has not improved " actually a lot worse " Seems to be a complete change over of staff on floor, which is never a good sign. We were there on Saturday night, the restaurant was very quiet??? The waiter and waitress were serving food to tables, then to my horror they sat down them selves and started to eat, very unprofessional for a restaurant, "we would have loved some more attention” The food is the highlight of this restaurant, the variety and the excellent flavours stand out, but a little slow coming from kitchen "worth the wait" Drinks were good, hot and friendly barmaid, I will be back just to see her.

This restaurant takes the cake for the worst service I have ever seen! Two drink orders were lost, on top of the fact we had to wait about 40 minutes per order anyway. We ordered from their set menu and then asked if we could change a few items for my vegetarian partner.

When the extremely rude waitress served the vegetarian dish (mind you she was chewing gum at the time), we asked what it was. Her reply..... "some vegetarian thing the chef put together". This place has a lot of potential, but they need to sort out their staff!!!

My wife brought me to this restaurant for the first time with my mum and sister (both visiting from the Czech Republic). It was such a relaxing place and everyone was so warm and friendly! My mum thoroughly enjoyed the cocktails and my sister who is a picky eater and eats only Mexican or Italian food actually had something to eat and enjoyed it (particularly the dessert platter).

I don't know why some people have said that the service is bad here because it has always been great and my wife often takes clients to this place to wine and dine them! Obviously these people who give bad ratings either have too high a standard or there's just no pleasing them. Stay home and cook for yourselves if you're not willing to go with the flow. After all, why do we go out to dinner? To relax and enjoy food. Who cares if the service is slower than McDonalds? It's fine dining, not a takeaway joint!

The chef is clearly very good but the owners must be first timers!! Service was very slow and the senior staff helping out while eating her own meal was ridiculously unprofessional.

This place has so much potential to be great. Don't get me wrong, I had a great night, the food was delicious, the cocktails were amazing and the decor is very original and comfortable.

The one thing that let them down was the service. Now I just want to make this very clear, the staff were extremely friendly and polite, but just extremely slow. I think if they hired a few more people it would have made the night a whole lot easier. We sat there for 40mins without drinks or any starters even though we pre ordered the set menu. Once the food started, it was all good. The cocktails took a while to come out so the second you order one, just order your next one and you'll be fine.

If you are going to choose the set menu, I recommend substituting one of the meals for test tube cocktails! Definitely give this place a go.

I am notorious for having high expectations and generally most restaurants I visit fall short in one category or another. Beds however, was perfect in every way. The service was so fantastic that we stayed for hours tasting pretty much every cocktail (I recommend the Wakeup call) on the menu to go with the delicious food we were served (my favourite is the lamb, but the pork belly was a delight as well).

At the end of dinner when we ordered final drinks, we were advised that our selection was not available but to make up for it, they gave us a special little cocktail (which was thoughtful of the staff/management). Great value for money, service was superb and the food was heavenly. Planning on being a regular at this lovely little find.

Brilliant concept" Beds" we were there at the weekend, the place is great, "good buzz" The beds are cool, but very skimpy on the soft cushions. The food here is amazing, really good flavours and delicious combinations, " and cheap as chips". Great cocktails, but the wine list is very ordinary. I am planning my 30th here, maybe a pj party. Check out beds...
