I alway come here late 10 pm, so I can enjoy the service. Food is pretty traditional korean food, alots of side dishes. Too many korean restaurant in city now... so the price is very reasonable.
I took my brother here when he came back from London and he was thrilled. We had bulgolgi and a variety of other marinated meats and Bo Sum. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Coming from London where they charge GBP$2 per side dish, my brother was in side dish heaven.
I've been here quite a few times. It's a good value and the food is tasty. You'll come out smelling like BBQ but that isn't so bad...especially if you like meat! I've had a variety of the meats cooked on the table, stews, and soups, all have been decent. You need to flag down the servers when you need a side dish replenished but that's not a big deal. If you want decent Korean food, this is a good place to go.
The balance between good food, service and price probably does make it the best Korean restaurant in Sydney. I especially like the kim chi pancake and bbq ribs. We had a party of 4 and ordered fried dumplings, kim chi pancakes, flounder fish soup, ox tongue, beef ribs, bbq chicken which came with complimentary sides.
We were very satisfied with all the dishes and was actually quite full. The total bill worked out to be $95, which is fairly cheap. The restaurant is quite spacious and there's even an area where you can smoke. People who have never been to a Korean BBQ, be prepared to walk out smelling like bbq.
Possibly the best Korean in Sydney. Always pack out because their food is so good! Their unlimited side dishes are top notch. A must try is their Fish egg stew, soft tofu stew, kim chi pancake, cold noodles and hot and sour fried prawns/chicken!
I have been to so many Korean restaurants in Sydney, but this has to be better than average. Groovy decor, quick service and the Bar BQ was a cut above many Bar b Q that I have had. the Bulgogi (beef marinated with a soy sauce) and the pork belly (called sam gyup sal) was very delicious. And all this at a reasonable price.
