This restaurant supplies BBQ Duck to many of the top restaurants in Sydney. I hate the surroundings, I hate the service particularly to those like myself who don't speak Chinese but the Peking Duck I return for again and again. Perfect duck (every time), great hoi sin and beautiful pancakes, served with crunchy shallots and fresh chilli slices. Invariably we eat so many we have to take the second course home as takeaway. It has a nice wine list and boasts many a top Sydney chef eating there after food service in other restaurants closes for the night. And if you can't stand eating there, you can always get the duck and Chinese pork takeaway.

Dinner: The BBQ pork is dry without the traditional sweet soy sauce. The ambience is like a typical Chinese takeaway. T he service, hm.. they are trying. The value is very expensive when you paid twice as much as other places. The price is the same as Hong Kong, that is 6 times as much but 6 times less tasty.

This is the place to go with a large group of people before a show at the metro. The place is bland to look at but who cares when you have some great Chinese food to eat! Big servings and relatively cheap. They are very proud of their meals with photos of dead animals hanging up in the restaurant. The stuffed eggplant is great as is the BBQ pork. A staple when we visit. Waiters are reliable and food comes out quick. If sharing 3-4 meals with 5 people, about $15-20 each.

Expensive that's the first empression. Prices have gone up real quick since last year. Dishes were average good but suckling pig has been greater before (that was my favourite before). Such a disappointment for what used to be a great restaurant.

I was very unimpressed with this restaurant. Considering the wealth of fantastic cheap food in this area, the meals were too pricey, the food was average and the service below average.

We ordered the crispy pork dish and was not that impressed. Had better elsewhere for cheaper. However, staff were quite helpful.

It's funny how much I love this place, despite it being loud, sometimes grotty and pretty expensive. I also have to admit, I rarely go past ordering my favourites, BBQ Duck and Pork, Chilli Salt prawns (with shell please) and greens. I have never been disappointed in the food with the exception of the pancakes which I think are too thick.

After being recommended to BBQ King, we went there on a Saturday night for dinner with family members and friends. The food was very similar to other Chinese reastaurants I've been to but the difference being that it was pricier. I tried to have no preconceptions about this place but I have to admit, the service and decor were shocking. The duck was acceptable but by no means excellent. Overall, the experience was average with the food somewhat making up for the lack of cleanliness and value for money. Don't think I'll be going back there again.
