Peking Duck was good but not worth the price or the hype. Same as most other places and have had better. The sizzling beef was tasteless as was the salt and pepper squid. Ambience and service were as expected. Value was poor, can get better tasting Chinese at your local for half the price. Wouldn't return!

I know they are known for their Peking Duck, so we tried their famous Peking Duck. After consuming it, I didn't think their Peking Duck was any better than any other Peking Duck I've had in other Asian restaurants. Perhaps I went on a bad day.

Used to be a big fan of BBQ King back in the day. Now, the wait staff is boorish and rude. The ambience of the restaurant is dirty and bleak, especially upstairs. We ordered crab, asked for about 1 kilo crab. They showed it to us, said it was about 1.2kg When it was presented on our table, the crab has shrunk considerably! I asked the wait staff if it was the same crab they showed us and they assured me it was. I asked again, saying this did not even look like a 1 kilo crab. They took it back to the kitchen and he said it was 500 grams and they charged me for 500 grams.

If I did not say anything, they would have charged me for 1.2 kilo crab. The battered king prawns we ordered were pasty and dry. Left very disappointed and never go back.

They probably had a couple of slip ups considering how many complaints are made. I totally agree with glasshouses' review (below - 29 April 2005). Quit your complaining. Peking duck was exquisite.

Sydney prices for superb food and disapointing service! If you want the best Peking Duck + Sang choy bow, great prawns then prepare to pay for them. Service is non-existent, conditions are filthy and speed is of the essence.

The decor is poor, the layout cramped and the bathrooms pathetic. The food almost always saves them and the 10% tip should go to the chefs out of principle! I can not stress strongly enough, the service is dire. Once in about 15 visits have they failed to achieve that. I hate bad tippers but cold, overly salty hoi sin is not on. Avoid when busy if you may be even slightly claustrophobic or seek a laidback night out. Choose for a fast, filling no-fuss feast.

I am a regular at the Century. The duck last time was terrible, fatty and tasteless, we were however there very late for dinner. Pork was it's usual delicious flavour. Good late night haunt.

The service was appalling. Impolite waiters who got cranky when our guests were late. Food was average and not a good value for the big dollars we paid. I've tasted better peking duck. Would never go back there again.
