Went there the other night with the wife, I had beef n veg pie which was lovely, the pastry was nice and the meat nice n chunky and tender. The wife had salmon fillet which was nicely cooked and moist. All in all good food for a pub. Altho can't say the same for the carpet and furniture.

We went to the Bayview with the ouffer voucher which included 2 entrees, mains and desserts as well as 2 drinks. We had the antipasto share plate for entree (we were only allowed the one on the voucher which was fine), then we both had the steak for main course which was cooked to our desire. The only downfall was the dessert. My banana pudding was great but my friend's chocolate tart had a funny taste.

They really should look at the ingredients in that cos to me, it tasted a bit like prawns. Apart from that, the rest of the food was nice and the drinks were really good too. I recommend the Bayview, but steer clear of the chocolate tart.

My family and I go to The Bayview once or twice a week. I think the variety of the menu is great and value for money.I usually have the salmon which is always cooked lovely and my partner always enjoys his steak which is perfectly cooked every time.The kids love the activity packs which are a great idea. The bistro staff are very friendly,efficient and happy to make changes. I would definitely recommend it.

We are locals and would regularly go to the bayview at least once or twice a week for dinner and would highly recommend it to others. Since the new contactors have taken over we no longer go.The food is generally over cooked,sauced and unappealing.

I go to the bayview once or twice a week with my family for dinner and i find the food to be great value for money and very consistent in the quality.They have good selection on the menu. The steaks are always good quality and cooked well.And the bistro staff are always friendly and chatty. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately, we weren't so lucky here with the food. Medium rump steak was well overcooked and burnt on both sides with seasoning completely missing. Wine and pepper sauces had almost no taste and very watery and the salad were just a few boring green leaves, no tomato/cucumber/onions or salad dressing. Won't be back soon.

Yum! Had dinner there Saturday night. A very nice piece of salmon, and hubby had a decent pizza. Huge range of all sorts of food, and efficient and friendly service. Sat in the covered outdoor area which really does need doing up, decent tables and chairs to make it a bit more classy rather than 'beer garden' furniture would be good. Oh, the choc tart for dessert was very yummy too.

We're locals and have tried their food with distastrous results every time. We thought that when the kitchen staff changed there was hope but No! I don't mind paying $20 for a schnitzel, chips and salad if it's decent, but it's not. We had awesome fun trying to cut the salt and pepper squid with a knife and fork and watching it try and escape off the plate. In closing, we have never had a good meal there and, trust me, we've tried.

Disagree with last allisona. We have been here twice since the new contractors have taken over. The food has been good. In most instances we come here early and often with another family. I have found the new staff to be very friendly, accepting of changes to the menu and efficient. If we want a fine dining experience, we would choose a fine restaurant. This is a pub bistro and the meals and prices, I believe, are in line with that genre. We especially like the new kids colouring packs!

The Bayview has recently changed kitchen contractors and the food has gone downhill since. We've been twice since the change and have found the food woeful. After many years of eating here regularly, we won't be coming back. Food is now at best mediocre, and at worst, poor quality and bland.
