Bayly's Restaurant, nestled in Careening Cove, Kirribilli offers you a pre-theatre dining experience unequalled in Sydney with uninterrupted views of the harbour.

Australian produce and influenced by the subtle flavours of the world. Head Chef, Ashraf Saleh, produces wonderfully creative flavours.

Out experience in catering for private functions is second to none. The restaurant holds up to 65 people seated or 100 people in a cocktail setting, with menus individually styled to suit your tastes and budget. A perfect place for weddings, birthdays, Christmas parties or launches.

Open for Lunch on Thursdays, Dinner Tuesday through to Saturday. Closed Sunday and Monday.

The food was excellent but way too expensive. I had lamb backstaps which were very tender served on a small bed of couscous, there were five slices of lamb this was followed by something they called a cold lemon souffle, very ordinary and lucky me all this for $57 per person, too expensive.

A most pleasant evening out at Bayly's. The service, food and view all added up to a great evening out. We were not going on to the theatre after wards and the wait staff let us linger over our meals. Parking was difficult because of the theatre, but otherwise it is a place that we would come back to again.

We had dinner here tonight before the play and it was a perfect evening. I can't imagine why more theatre patrons don't take advantage of this great venue for dinner overlooking the water and fabulous food at reasonable prices. My husband’s entrée was zucchini flowers and mine the scallops. Both wonderful. For mains I had orange duck and my husband choose the chateau briand, again excellent. We didn’t really need dessert but enjoyed the home made ice-cream and Crème Brulèe. I do wish they had decaf coffee to finish. We have been coming for a couple of years now and the chef has recently introduced some more innovative dishes with superb presentation. Highly recommended.

Sensational food and views. We had 3 courses for $62 so pretty good value too, the servings were fairly small but very good looking.

For entree, had zucchini flowers stuffed with 4 cheeses, little bit greasy from deep frying but the batter was light. Wifey had pumpkin tart which had great flaky pastry though salad was undressed. For mains had the Lamb with pea puree which was perfectly cooked, and wifey went the fish of the day which was also superb.

Dessert was overkill but we had 15 minutes before the theatre so had the chocolate marquise, which was rich and decadent as a good dessert should be.
No coffee machine which was a mild disappointment but overall a super meal with harbour views and unpretentious service for a reasonable price.

Excellent food and the service was very friendly and attentive (refilling our water without having to ask for it).

Had dinner here last night. Food was great, had 3 courses, fig and goat cheese to start, was finger licking good. Had lamb wrapped in prosciutto for mains, cooked medium rare. Was cooked to perfection (wasn't too sure about the okra but that's my personal taste). For dessert I had the cold lemon souffle with home made vanilla ice cream. Yum! I'll definitely go again.

Awesome food, everything is fresh and seasonal with use of spices from all over the world. Great view and affordable too!

When I'm in Sydney, my parents take me to the Ensemble Theatre and we have dinner at Bayly's, their in-house restaurant. It's a complete night out and the food is very enjoyable. Last time I opted for seafood, rock fish fumet for entree and seared hiramasa king fish for main, it was cooked to perfection, I enjoyed every bite!

I'm pretty fussy when it comes to dessert but I decided on the chocolate marquise with pistachio anglaise. Just thinking about it makes me wanting more, it was so good. They have a pretty wine menu too. The service was great (very friendly) and the harbour view was spectacular. All in all, I experienced a truly wonderful evening!

I went to Bayly's last week and had a fabulous night, the restaurant has recently been refurbished and looks much brighter. When we came in we were welcomed by a beautiful smile from the manager (Mariah) and the food was super! The chef (Ashraf) creates french influenced contemporary cuisine. We also had a great view over the harbour.
