Been twice, going again. Food was excewllent, service good, only fault was the food all came almost together. Will try and slow them down next time. Otherwise, faultless.

Went here for my birthday and it was great! The food was amazing, I highly reccomend the beef rolls, and the service was the best I've ever had. The staff are very friendly, but not imposing. They even arranged a free birthday sticky rice dessert since we hadn't brought a cake. Will be going back very soon.

Loved it here!! Food and Service!! and the value is just so great for a nice restaurant in points point!! Every single dish that we tried here was just a superb especially the Cubed beef must try!! Everytime I come here a lovely young hostess called Jannine always gives me the biggest smile and suggests their best dishes. We definitely be back!!

Honestly, I really love Vietnamese food and been to Vietnam several times. I've been to Bay Bua Restaurant as what my friends told this is the most traditional Vietnamese restaurant in Sydney, I was felt good because it's so nice and modern compare to other Vietnamese restaurant in Sydney. However, I was really disappointed about the food. They are not traditional Vietnamese foods at all.
For instance: if you had traditional Vietnamese pancake, you will be serve with lot of salad to wrap it with the pancake, not just 2 piece of lettuce and some carrot. Let me show you, most of the Vietnamese food are having with a lot of salad and have with Vietnamese fish sauce.
Recently, I've found one Vietnamese restaurant in Marrickville, their foods are really good and really traditional taste. Their restaurant isn't big and look luxury as Bay Bua, they just like family restaurant but the food is perfect. I hate those restaurant calling traditional Vietnamese food but actually it mix with Chinese and Thai food. That was misleading our food lover, you know!

It's so depressing to hear that they will be closing for one month. I've been their good loyal weekly customer for 4 months, true that specials are more outstanding than the stir- fries but we still do enjoy all the meals... Simple but very tasty compared to the other Thai meals around Potts point. Anyway wishing Mai and her Sister Sun all the best for the furniture renovation, can't wait to dine in again!

I have been here a few times and the food is consistently good. Its best to choose specials or Vietnamese dishes as the basic Asian/Chinese dishes (ie stir-fries) are not outstanding. Service is good. Excellent value.

I've been to Bay Bua only one time. They make best beef salad. I think everything was great.. service, food, ambience. Mai and her sister Janine are the best hostess ever. Good lucjk to them, all the best.

We had a beef salad and some other foods. The taste was ok. However, when we paid the bill, they charged us wrong price. We asked them for the reason, one of the waitresses said the price JUST went up even though the price in the menu is different. She did not even say `sorry` and give us money back!! We just wanted to pay for the right price written in the menu. We think their service is awful and very unfriendly. We do not recommend this restaurant.
