This was our first time eating vietnames food and the waitress guided us well. We found the food superb and very reasonably priced. The quantities were substantial. We had 2 mains and an enormous serve of icecream and flavouring and could hardly move afterwards. The cost was $75 for 2 and this included 3 glasses of wine. I thought the wine was a bit pricey but then I'm not used to Sydney prices.
We will be staying at Potts Point again in 2 weeks and have invited some Sydney friend to join us for dinner at Bay Bau. They are in for a treat. We were a bit unlucky to be near a ladies tuesday book club meeting and it was quite noisy but not offensively so. The service was first class, friendly attentive and quick. Highly recommended.

We came down to see the Picasso exh and ended up going back a couple of nights in a row as we were so impressed with everything about the restaurant. The location is very good if you're in the cross area as it sits nicely on the edge and has a much quiter feel away from the main drag. The gorgeous vietnamese staff are professional and friendly and the food is fresh, very flavoursome and very good value. When we come down to Sydney again, definitely going back.

Vietnamese with a difference. If it's new and interesting Asian you seek this is the place, and it's reasonably priced given the quality and range of food on offer and the overall ambience and service you receive.
The meals are generous so be careful when they suggest a side of veggies or salad as that's also huge, and may not be needed, as I found out. The staff are really charming and attentive, the corkage reasonable and the location quiet and uncluttered, being as it is in a kind of mini piazza off the main drag in Kings Cross.
My only gripe is the parking in that area is almost impossible, so unless you want to fork out $20 at the parking station go early and be prepared to hunt and walk a fair distance unless you fluke a spot nearby, but don't count on it!

We were here 2 weeks ago. The food was very good and fresh but more chinese than Vietnamese we thought but good nevertheless. Service was attentive. Highly recommend the pork, prawns and fried rice.

My friend and I walked in off the street and even though all the tables looked reserved after a brief discussion and our promise to eat and leave within the hour we were seated at a table for two outside.
The food was sensational. Fresh, tasty and quick. The young girl waitress was very attentive and the service was great. We looking forward to going back and taking our time. The specials looked mouth watering. Highly recommend the pork belly!

Great little vietnamese tucked away from all the bustle from the main streets. Overall food is pretty good. Whole snapper and beef salad were probably our favourites.
Service was a little lacking and had things forgotten. Otherwise, overall value is good. It did also get a little noisy inside.

We found this place on the internet. Now I realise that there is more to this interweb thing than bom.gov.au. We gave it a go with my family. Vegetarian duck was all time - actually great vegetarian menu in general. The tamarind prawns were great. Excellent value, and friendly service. Good times indeed. Thoroughly recommended.

I love Vietnamese food and I've been to Vietnam 3 times. I've been looking for an authentic Vietnamese restaurant and decided to try this restaurant after reading the reviews.
The food was Ok though it was more like Chinese-Vietnamese fusion. Banh Xeo was nice if you don't consider it Banh Xeo but something else. I wasn't impressed with the service, either. I don't think the senior staff was working when I was there. There were 2 waitresses, both not very attentive, and one was sort of rude.
Maybe I had expected a bit too much, but on the whole, it was a disappointing experience. I don't think I'll go back there again. If you are after an authentic Vietnamese food, I wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

This place is brilliant. The food is fresh and the ingredients quality. It's family run so we were served by two sisters who were confident in helping us narrow down our order and attentive without being intrusive. It's in a lovely quiet location which means people won't necessarily head there unless they're looking for it, but it's well worth it and it's only a 5 minute walk from Kings X Stn in the more tranquil Potts Point.
On top of that, it's good value for money. We'll definitely be returning even though it's a bit of a trek from where we live.
