Have been going for years before and now with kids. Always quick service and food great every time no exception. My husband loves it so much he would order an extra two dish for his lunch the next day and one for his work mate. We always order the jellyfish salad, special pork chop rice and the special noodle, also tamarind quails are excellent. I think they are cheap and tasty.

If you're looking for ambience, do not go eating in canley heights. This shop is a lot more modern then most eateries, however the service is the same - abrupt, but fast. A little more expensive than other vietnamese restaurants, but their service is always consistent. My recommendations - get the prawn & pork papaya salad, with prawn crackers. Divine!

Our experience at this newly refurbished Canley Heights restaurant was fantastic. We chose this restaurant (after walking up and down the Canley Vale Rd strip) because it was buzzing with locals. The waitress greeted us with a smile and 'hello' and we were seated within 5 minutes.
The service through out the meal was exceptional and all staff were friendly and attentive, making sure everything was satisfactory and showing us how to eat the various dishes we had ordered, some of which had been recommended by the waitress. The flavours were amazing.
I travelled Vietnam for 4 weeks around Christmas time and the authentic, fresh flavours at this restaurant took me right back to the streets of Vietnam. The green paw paw, pork and prawn salad and the sizzling beef were the highlights of our night. I would make the 50 minute trip from Marrickville just to come back to this little gem.

18/09/2010, $4.5 for steamed rice. I put the remaining in the tub into takeaway box as usual, so not to waste it. The waitress came over and said I have to pay $3 extra because customers aren't suppose to take the rest home. So they gonna charge me $7.5 just for plain boiled rice?! Nowhere on the menu said its for eatin only! More importantly this implies they reuse them, that is super unhygienic! I won't go there again.

Food is a rip off. I had a beef stir fried rice noodle which tasted alright but cost an arm and a leg (just for beef noodles, no seafood. The tables can smell pretty nasty sometimes if the previous customers have been eating something with fish sauce and the waiter did not clean it properly. Wouldn't go back unless I had to.

Food here is a hit and miss at times, sometimes it's good sometimes it's not. Pho sometimes can be tasty and then another day it's pretty tasteless. I used to come here a lot but now we tend to come here every so often, it is one of the pricier Vietnamese restaurants and the service is a hit and miss as well, depending on the waiter that serves you.

One of the best Vietnamese restaurant in Sydney, therefore, often too crowded, too noisy.

I had always loved this place growing up, been going for years, however, since the Cabramatta one opened I think they pulled all the good chefs over there. Cause lately its hasn't been so good. Still authentic flavours and lovely dishes. However, its lacking quality. This place is not the most presentable dishes, but the flavours should be there. The goat curry is amazing, and the flat rice noodles with beef in dark soy. Some of the other dishes are not the best in the area, but they're specialist in BBQ chicken or beef with rice. Not all their dishes are sensational but these mentioned above, you won't be disappointed.

We came here the other day after I vowed not to come here again due to their inconsistency - I can definitely say that we will never come here again after this visit.
The table was dirty and hadn't been wiped down properly, the menus were covered in all sorts of liquid and looked rather shabby, I noticed they have added a couple of new dishes to compete with the new restaurants' menus.
Service was alright at first, that is, until we got our meals. My friend ordered red rice with crispy skin chicken, the chicken was hot and the rice was cold, after we called for them to rectify this mistake, at first the staff tried to take the rice off the plate in front of us saying that she'll replace the rice.
After a messy attempt she took the whole plate and went to do it properly, with one of the other staff saying in vietnamese "Omg, these young kids nowadays" as though we didn't understand her (she did apologize later however, but I simply find that unacceptable and rude).
After the plate came out again, the chicken was now cold and rice was steaming hot. Enough said, I would never be coming back here again nor do I recommend it.
There is often a queue for this place but don't be fooled, it's mainly because the Cabramatta one closes early. The service is friendly and speak English adequately, the wait for food is a bit long sometimes and the quality is a mixture between good and bad.

The food here is something different from your regular Vietnamese restaurant. Many of the menu items are created from the owner's special secret recipes, so there is a uniqueness to it that you don't get from your average Vietnamese restaurant. The venison is excellent, as is the fish soup. Definitely one of the best places to go for Vietnamese in Sydney. Worth the trip out to Canley Heights.
