Mediterranean Lamb is the best pizza! A little bit pricey for the top end pizzas but service is quick and efficient and a great menu variety.

Seriously, this place is worse than average. My girlfriend and I noticed this 'gourmet' place in Randwick and thought we'd support it because it seemed so empty (we figured people didn't go there because it doesn't look flash and trendy) and so decided to give it a go. Weeknight around 730 pm and it was dead, all the workers standing around. We ordered 2 large pizzas (gourmet, can't remember which specifically) and we both looked at each other in disbelief, as my pizza was utterly tasteless and 'weak' flavoured and my girlfriends was way too salty to eat.

Never again, there are too many alternatives that regularly produce great pizzas and have a good vibe. I advise you ignore the ones that say 'best pizza ever' - I guarantee they are a total minority in their view. Base is dead quiet because no one desires its experience again.

Look this place use to do great pizza and the service was great, new owners with service to boot not up to standard. We rang and were directed to website to order at 9.45 pm we received a cal at 10.05 saying only your deserts would be available, sub standard food for the price charged.

I went there last night. It turned out to be pretty good pizza I ordered Mexican pizza. It is better from what I expect. I like Arthur pizza (Arthur special better ), but this one is ok. The service is really good I have to wait for only 10 minutes and they also offer free delivery. The staffs are quite friendly. If you go there I suggest you try Mexican pizza, Vegetarian Deluxe and Garlic Chicken. These are my favorites but you might like something different.

Best pizza around!! My favs are the Garlic Saganaki Prawns and the Mexican - both delicious. Staff are friendly. Will definitely be treating myself to a Base Pizza again soon.

Make one of the best gourmet pizzas I have ever had in Australia!!!! The Mediterranean Lamb to die for followed by their wicked Chocolate Brownies. A very clean and friendly shop which I'm so glad I have found!! Thanks Base Pizza can't wait for my next fix.

Tried Base Pizza only once with friends that live in the area. We will never repeat the experience: pizza was so salty we couldn't finish it, we found the bill very expensive and the gourmet idea a bit pretentious. Despite the beautiful shop it really looked like the guys didn't know what they were doing.

I enjoyed my chicken/camembert but they are light on topping and have quite a thick base. Bit minimal for me but will probably get around to trying the other ones of the menu.

Base pizza specialises in gourmet pizzas, and although they do succeed in some of them, not all of them are winners. We got the Garlic Chicken and BBQ Chorizo pizzas. The former was quite yummy but the latter was quite ordinary. The chorizo wasn't that great, so the bocconcini took over the taste.
