Bought a online voucher for Barramundi cafe. Turned up for lunch with my 2 year old and have never in my life been greeted so rudely for having brought a child to a restaurant. I do not recommend taking a child to this restaurant unless you want to feel like a criminal.

Brought a scoopon for a seafood platter for $50.

Lovely atmosphere and location. Good service - waitresses were accommodating, friendly and responsive. Average seafood platter, a little too oily. Asked for extra tartare sauce because to block out the oily taste. Filled the platter with too much chips. Lobster, calamari and soft crab was nice.

Overall, I wouldn't pay how much the platter is orginally for but for $50 can't really complain.

Food (seafood platter) was heavy and lots of oil in the frying - too much in the middle of a glorious autumn day. Location is terrific overlooking a handkerchief park. Staff are very friendly and efficient. Would like to return to try something else on the menu.

We were very disappointed, we booking for lunch (2 weeks in advance) was told they were very busy but agreed on earler time. The voucher was for a seafood platter for 2 including a bottle of wine, valued at $110 plus.

We arrived on time, was seated towards the back of the restaurant with not much room between tables. The staff seemed pleasant but only approaching us to retrieve the coupon and ask if we wanted red or white wine, once poured left us alone until the platter was brought out.

The platter itself wasn't very appealing and so little of it, not like the pictures. The prawns were colourless and tiny, not much lobster meat and the crab, well I've seen bigger on Sydney beaches!

I thought the idea of vouchers were to promote your business, therefore, a little more attention to details and service would go a long way, even just the offer drinks on arrival or garlic bread. I'm afraid we will not be going there again. Oh, and maybe it was wishful thinking they were booked out, the restaurant wasn't even half full.

Awful experience! I had same experience with "out_4_lunch", I also gave this restaurant 2 chances, last time was a friend's bday, friend told the reservation lady that we are Not on coupon, and she said we need a few days advance reservations, but I said we just order on menu, she did not show her help in making the reservations.

Finally we went there, but the people work there show a really bad service and the food was as the other reviews said its not fresh at all! We did order some seafood, the oyster is awful and the size is so small, we really so surprise, it is really a waste from the environment. Very disappointed.

The 2nd time, I bought coupon, the lady said need few days reservations, and I said it just listed 24 hours on coupon, the lady said u read the information wrong, and I said last time I call up and its same answer, the lady said then u listen it wrong! and she keep saying sth like I did reply email to u, I open the email and show u what I wrote, she just rude and don't even provide what she need in her job and not willing to help and not even give u much chance to talk, if people have this impression before they come, what can they expect for meals?

I had 2 Deals.com.au vouchers foe seafood platters. They were promoted as each giving a platter worth $135 plus a bottle of wine. The food was simply awful. The lobster mornay was all mornay and no lobster. The oyster kilpatrick had a 10 cent size piece of something and no oyster. The fish was over cooked. Everything fried in masses of batter and overfried. This was a real ripoff.

We had a voucher for a 2 course meal. I had a little difficulty in booking a preferred night, esp Friday nights. We eventually dined on a Thursday night. The service was first class and the meals were great, esp. the calamari. All in all a very pleasant night out. The value was excellent with our voucher. We have booked again (well in advance) and are going back with another voucher!

Not badly priced for Sydney standards.

However the food was lacklustre which reflected the price. It is the type of food you would get at any shopping centre cafe.

I had the seafood and it was not fresh, tasted very fishy and old. A friend had the rib eye which was tough and probably not even a rib eye cut. She commented that she's never had a rib eye with that kind of texture before.

What made the whole experience worse, was the waitress. She was pushy, inconsiderate, and on top of that, the management didnt seem to care and even joined in on the nightmare. They did not respect us as customers, or even other customers and you could hear them snickering and whinging about other diners.

I am surprised that they've been able to get away with this, however given the relatively quiet restaurant on a normally busy Friday, might be fair to say that they wont be around for much longer.

We were given a voucher for a seafood meal valued at $138, having read the reviews we were not expecting anything great But we arrived to be met by a very pleasant waitress, we sat at a front table so were able to enjoy the activities of Sydney offerred red or white wine and sat back for just a short while, while our wine was served, and our meal arrived.

The scallops were fresh and hot, as was the rest of the fish. The fish pieces were moist and flavoursome, the calamari and squid tasty, the prawns served on a stick were small but ample and the lobster tail fresh and delicious. The chips were plentiful and tasty. I would be prepared to pay $100 for this meal but understand the voucher would be worth $50 - $60 which means we had very good value.

I would recommend this restaurant for it's location and expect to return another time to check out their menu.

Great food, unfortunately, the staff and management can surprised at how rude they are. Would not bring my business to Barramundi because of this.
