I have been here a number of times for weddings and every time the food and service has been great, very dark and dimly lit, they could use a good renovation. But other than that great food for the price you pay for and good service.

I like this place. Bit loud when the band plays or they have someone singing but i dont come here to eat the band or singer. Nice singaporean crab. Just need that and bread and your in the game.

I go here monthly for many different occasions and the food and service is always outstanding. We receive a discount because we regularly attend and assist the restaurant for entertainment. The food is reasonably priced and has been a favourite of mine for several years. I always host special occasions at Barluck.

Items to try: Anything with Crab, XO Pippies, Oysters with ginger and shallots.
Some prawn-thingy, forgot the name XD, steamed Fish with ginger/shallots
Deep Fried Ice-cream!

My family and I have been coming here for years and is our best family restaurant. Meals are delivered promptly and the food is absolutely delicious especially the chilli crab - a must try! We usually go on a Friday night when there's live band entertainment. The waiters are friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone :)

I took my parents out for dinner for their birthday the other day and we went to a restaurant local to where we lived. We have been there a few times before and had never incoporate such issues.

The service was bad and the staff who seemed to be the senior staff was rude as hell. Well I'm sorry they think they make so much money now that they don't care about losing one customer. Well as the story goes. We ordered a few dishes from the menu one of the first dish was some salad with prawn crackers as side dish which we never got the prawn crackers we told the waiters and nothing happened.

We had ordered fried rice with to fish dishes the fish came out roughly 25 minutes and it was going cold we asked where our rice was they said they forgot never got an apology from them. By the time the rice came out the fish was cold. When it came to paying for the bill the total for our family dinner was $438 yes you read right we saw on the receipt that there were 2 dishes we ordered had a number 2 beside it meaning we ordered doubles and got charged double which we never did.

So I called over the senior staff to speak to him he gave me attitude from beginning to end. I told him what happened about the salad and then the rice and now this he said no they didn't over charged us and that 2 means we ordered a large plate size of that dish thats why it's times 2 which was unusual wouldn't you just have different prices for each plate why do you have to times that dish by 2 for a large size plate and he just started getting all angry on me and I said to him "look this restaurant has really bad service and I'm never coming back again" and still yet they didn't apologise and he turns and says to me " Ok we don't care it's alright."

So me and my family gets up and leave the restaurant and feel that was the worse dinner ever we didn't mind paying that money for great food and service but that made my parents feel like it was the worst dinner ever. I wish that restaurant luck as they have lost a valued customer.

Caters for weddings and functions, however, tables are very cramped. Atmosphere is bright and loud, has private room for karaoke. Live band and music. Outstanding crab dishes and you pay for what it's worth. On busy nights it's a matter of calling out for a waiter.

Well, after reading other reviews on eatability.com.au a couple of friends and my party decided to go and try the food at this restaurant.

We had 6 courses, including the Singapore Crab. We could not complain at all. Service was Fantastic, we all felt very welcome, the food was cooked very well, the crab meat was amazing. The reviews that have been posted below were very good at assisting our decision for this restaurant.

Also I would recommend the Clams and San Chow Bow for entree, they also were delicious. Value for money: We are reasonable eaters, after all we had ordered plus wine's, dessert's and coffee's at the end a total cost of $35 per head... What more could you ask for!

Great entertainment, with a live band and singer. I would recommend this restaurant to others without hesitation.

Singapore crab is so nice - A must try dish! Service is good - the people are always really friendly and in for a few jokes - ours even threw in a free beer haha. Restaurant looks alright but is like any other large restaurant you'd find.

Totally love the chilli crab there. It's very noisy though and the service is not too good but hey we go there because of the food right?

The thing with this restaurant is consistency. All the dishes come out okay, but there isn't a spectacular headline dish at this restaurant. Value is quite average, by no means a cheap restaurant to go to regularly. Service is better than your Chinatown Asian restaurants.
