I first went to Milazzo on it's opening day way back in 2000. It struggled to find its niche in the CBD lunch scene and subsequently the owners ended up selling it. Mark has taken the helm now and whilst he seems to have held on to the Italian slant, somehow, somewhere, the overall impression is one of a better experience.
I constantly search for an honest Italian restaurant in the midst of the CBD and, Machiavelli aside, am generally frustrated, but Milazzo comes very close, offers exceptional outdoor eating, and never fails to deliver. Good food, good wine, and occasionally genuine Italian wait staff. One suggestion: put one (just one) pizza on the menu, or daily special board. Then you'll have me for good!
