Pleasant cafe. Good food. I had the Risotto Imola, friends had the veal, spaghetti marinara and bocconcini salad and it was all poslished off. Toddler finished most of the lasagna. Prices were moderate, about $18 - $25 for a main.
I'd come here again if I was in the area.

Found this by accident, our regular was full so we tried Lazio. The coffee was perfect. We looked at the menu and it looked good for pasta etc. Tried it recently on a Friday night and were blown away - it was wonderful. The food was excellent and the service perfect, efficient and friendly. The prices were just right. BYO - and corkage reasonable.

We will be back for sure. Our kids shared a pasta plate and there was no problem with extra plates and cutlery. We booked and I would suggest it on Friday night. I have rated this for what it is, a Pasta bar and cafe, not a fine dining restaurant.

We hit up Lazio regularly for dinner on a Friday or Saturday night. Great pasta dishes off the regular menu or specials board, if you're stuck for choice the meat or cheese and spinach lasagna are tasty and spaghetti Lazio is always good. Great anti pasto plate is nice to get things going, everything is always fresh and serving sizes are just right.

Service is always friendly, Thai waitstaff at an inner west italian joint is an interesting twist on the usual. Great for a quick brekky or lunch too, excellent coffee and desserts too!

A highly recommend traditional family run authentic neighbourhood Italian café. Just like in the old country. Whether it’s a quick take-away, lazy brunch or social night out, Bar Lazio offers an unpretentious cuisine, relaxing atmosphere and friendly service. A most enjoyable experience. Bellissimo.

Wandered over for a coffee and gelato while at the weekend markets, great coffee, gelato and service. Nice to sit out at the tables in the sun.

The pasta dishes, especially the specials on the weekends, are excellent quality (also the gnocchi too). We have been here a few times with the kids, they enjoy it and the atmosphere is good, staff are warm and welcoming. Good value and good quality for a night out with the kids or a quick bite to eat.

A great Italian, homemade style cafe. Simple food done well. Authentic Italian cafe that could slot in very easily back in Italy. Good coffee, great service and value for money.

I had the same experience as another reviewer. I got a take away container of plain pasta with nothing on it and they charged me $10. To put that in perspective you can buy 500 grams of plain pasta for 69c. I received about 200 grams of pasta. So, they have made $9.724 or a 3523% margin. All for boiling water.

I loved this warm services from the owner and smile of friendly Thai staffs (great team) especially, lasagna with ice coffee (gelato) it was awesome!

The service and food were pretty good although there was only one other table occupied so they weren't busy. My gripe is what we were charged though. My wife and I were there with our two small children and we asked for two small plates of plain pasta with a bit of butter on top. What were we charged for this? $9 each for the small plates of plain pasta!!! When I challenged the manager over the price he just shrugged and said it is what it is. Good food and service ruined by an absolute rip-off. They won't get my hard earned again.
