We were initially attracted to the ambience of this place. The decor was beautiful with interesting Indian pieces. The service could have been more friendly and attentive. We ordered the Dosai and an entree, which were nice. However, after having dirty plates in front of us for 15-20 minutes, we had to ask the waiter to clear our plates. The mains arrived almost half an hour later, and it was nice although not that great (I was expecting the meat to be really tender, but it wasn't ). I dont think we're coming back there again. We certainly wouldn't consider the place good value.
A very decent Indian restaurant. Being an Indian and having tried various other Indian restaurants, I can say that this one is better than most. Given that Indian food in general is very expensive, we found this a fresh breath of air. Decent prices. Be sure to try their chicken chettinad and roganjosh...you'll drool. Lots of tasty food for the money you pay. Thats what we generally look for in Indian restaurants. Something that reminds us of home...
This is easily the worst Indian I have ever had. I have twice had take-away from here (the first time I swore never again but gave it a second chance). The food was so bad I was moved to review it here. We got beef korma and butter chicken. The beef was terrible, really chewy and grisly, not melt in the mouth stuff as you would expect in a curry/stew. The korma sauce was ok. The chicken meat was mediocre but the butter chicken sauce is terrible. I expect butter chicken to be creamy, their sauce had flavour but is not rich and creamy. If I was paying $5 a dish I would expect this quality. The garlic naan was the best part of the dish and that isn't a compliment.
What a great find. Really good food using good ingredients and an interesting menu. Mid-week was good for a relaxed meal with good surroundings. We can't fault this restaurant and will be returning. Great value.
