We are regular customers of this Thai Restaurant. The food is nice and tasty and the service is good. It's our preferred option when we are to lazy to cook. Really good value.

What's happened here? We've been coming here for ages it's been our favourite Thai, a regular once a weeker either for a nosh up during the working week or anytime there's a big footy match on or when friends are over. The change has crept us on us.
The last few visits have been a bit so-so but against the urgings of my foodie-friend, I've made us both hang in. A week ago we had the hottest, and yet the most uninteresting, Penang curry ever. And tonight we've had a hot Chicken Pad Cashew (no taste, just Hot) and an old-tasting, dry beef Massaman. MFF said, as he pushed his plate disdainfully away - that is the Worst Thai I've ever tasted.
So tonight we've pledged to each other - never again. We're on the look-out for a new local Thai, up to the standard we're used to before whatever happened to Bangkok Spice happened. (It's sad). When they change for the better they should post a huge sign on the window saying 'We're Back...' (And their throngs of former followers will think about it).

Worse Thai restaurant I've been! Food did not match the description at all, duck curry only had 2 small slices of duck measuring only perhaps 1x2 cm, no lychee, no pineapple, one eigth of a tomato, and the rest of it was just carrots and snow peas.. I dont call that duck curry at all!!!! King Macadamia prawns stirred fried was also filled with carrots and snow peas and so was the tom yum soup... either they ran out of ingredients that night except carrots and snow peas but it was still very inappropriate!! Taste wasn't great as well.
Service was extremely slow and inefficient!! Our table was the only one missing the prawn crackers that every table got served as the guest arrive and none of the waiters/tresses noticed it for an hour for us being there until we alerted them too! Much more expensive compared to your regular local Thai takeaway/eating place.. I definitely wouldn't be back!!!

This is one of our favourite Thai restaurants. We always find the staff to be very friendly and super efficient. You get great value for money and the food has never disappoint. I highly recommend it.

Good local Thai restaurant with great value for money. Good variety of dishes on menu and plenty available for vegetarians. Coconut battered prawns, fresh spring rolls, panang curry, banana flower salad and black rice pudding are favourites.
Ordering a la carte (entres + mains), usually averages out at around $20 head, ordering take away allows a 10% discount and banquet plans for large groups can be arranged for between $25-30/head. Banquets will inevitably leave you with lots of leftovers as quantities are very generous. At lunch time, curries, stirfries and noodle dishes are $7.50.
Friendly, obliging service makes dining experience pleasant.

Cheap enough for reasonable sized portions (large enough to share for 4 people). Food was tasty enough but just as you would expect from a local Thai - certainly no better than most places, and a little light on in ingredients (especially vege spring rolls which were just vermicelli in a spring roll wrapper - no other filling - certainly no veges !)
Service was reasonably quick but waitress didn't speak any English which made any questions impossible. Managed to establish that vanilla ice cream was the only dessert on offer !

We dined at Bangkok Spice on Friday night, hoping to enjoy a relatively cheap and tasty Thai meal. We certainly got the cheap but without the taste. The food would have to be the worst Thai food we've ever had. Boring and tasteless is the best way to describe the meal. The meal looked like it was prepared by a child following a recipe found in a 1970's edition of Family Circle.

Have eaten here several times and usually an enjoyable cheap and cheerful venue, but marking this review on a recent visit where the food was a little disappointing (quite nice entrees off the specials board, but followed by a very ordinary barramundi dish, which at approximately $25, we could not finish due to the taste of the fish. The venue has improved it's interior look, and the service is always friendly.

We went there with a group of 9 people on a Friday Night and let me just say the service was shocking. The waitress was a trainee, but there did not seem to be anyone else helping her out. It took us about 45 minutes to get served. Once we placed our order, the food came out quickly, but in dribs and drabs. The value for money was fine, but the food and the service didn't rock my world.

This used to be one of our favourite Thai restaurants, but it's become progressively worse over the past two years.
I first noticed the chicken satay entree wasn't very tender, like it was over cooked or not fresh or both. The money bags where like dim sims containing mainly mince meat and the veggie spring rolls where very plain. Then came the red curry beef(bluff) very disappointing chewy pieces of beef. I tried several bites that all ended up in a bundle of gristle on my plate. Again the satay chicken was edible but very average. The mango prawn saved an otherwise awful score of ZERO.
