Food wasn't that tasty. I've had better thai food in other places. Gotta give this place points for their nice settings and ambience though. I'd be happy to pay more if the food tasted better.

Fantastic, have you ever had a meal that takes you back to a magical moment on holiday. Well this one did... Man what a great feed for under 50 bux...

The portions were outstanding the flavour was authentic and the home delivery was quick and the meals arrived hot! Yay...

Do yourselves a favour it doesn't look like much but they're usually the restaurants that rock. I will be eating there again and again and again.

This place was a pleasant surprise considering its location right on a very busy road. Had the fish cakes, jungle curry, sate prawns and crying tiger. All was great, especially the sate sauce they made for the prawns. Good value restaurant and we would be happy to go back again.

What a great find this restaurant is very friendly staff and the food was plentiful on the plate. The only word of advice is make sure you book esp on Friday or Saturday as it does fill up. If you can't get in there and looking for a good meal go around the corner to Jazzis Indian and visa versa.
Corkage is $2 per person the Hotel across the road or the BWS near Franklins can supply your needs.

Dined here based upon friends saying positives. Made a booking days in advanced and arrived on time. We were then placed at a very ordinary table next to front counter where waiters enter and we were 10cm from the next table which they simply split from ours when we arrived, therefore, service and ambience were destroyed before we even ordered. Food was ok but not much to talk about. I only wish the experience was better.

My wife and I had read some of the reviews and after walking past and seeing the fantastic decor decided to give this place a go. We ordered the massaman curry, pad khii mao and garlic and pepper chicken. The dishes were well presented, servings were generous and in general the experience was a good one.

However, I must say that Thai food in my mind should have flavors that explode in your mouth. And apart from the massaman curry which came close, the dishes lacked bang, and left me asking for the salt shaker.

We shall give it one more go to try the curries, but so far a slightly above average experience and considering the wonderful decor we feel a little let down.

Have been to Banana Leaf 3 times now & had plenty of home deliveries. The food is always fresh & tasty. The duck salad is fantastic, the curries are full of flavour & the meat is so tender in fact all dishes we have tried have been really enjoyable. At last a great little thai restaurant in Sth Hurstville. Well done guys keep up the good work.

Have eaten here 4 times and have to say their Massaman curry is delightful, beef just so tender and no gristle or fat and potatoes are just right too. The garlic mussels for an entree were really superb and the calamari isn't bad either. The lamb stirfry with garlic was also very tasty and tender too. Staff are all from the land of smiles and are very pleasant. I have had a few Massaman in Thailand this one is the best yes. Definitely the best place to eat in Sth Hurstville. Value for money it certainly is.

Good surburban Thai, friendly service. Good to see they have spent some money on the deco with a trendy Inner city vibe and look. One of the better presented Thai establishments this side of the city.

Now to the food, after being here a few times I could say the food is of good quality, servings are generous by Thai standards and priced more than reasonable on the value stakes. The Massaman Curry Beef was nice and tender, in fact all currys were nice. Good to see they don't use the same vege combinations for all dishes, which is a pet hate of mine. The Curry Puffs and Money Bags were the pick of the entrees with chicken satays being averageas they were not the traditional ones grilled and fanned over a little coal stove. Overall above average, pretty authentic Thai and very reasonble prices.
