Went to Bamiyan this week for lunch. Found it as something special. I would preferably say it as one of the best Asian restaurant I have ever been to in Sydney. Even their rice looks so special. I will be more than happy to recommend my friends and family and I will be going there for dinner soon.

A very pleasant surprise. 2 entrees, 1 main and rice was ample for two people. The flavours were rich and perfectly balanced. Lamb fell apart, I would definitely return.

What a discovery! The place, the staff, the food, all conspired for us to have a wonderful dinner. Had mixed entrees for two, eggplant dish to share as main with pallow rice and afgan garlic naan. For sure in need for more 'scrutinising' :o)

Best food around the area, highly recommended, guess this is the best place to go for dinner and return back home fully satisfied. Staffs are attentive, different atmosphere then it looks from outside, good music, great food, lots of choices in food and the price is so much cheaper as well, perfect little restaurant to go for happy dinner.

We went to bamiyan last night based on the positive reviews here and I would absolutely recommend it. The host was delightful, made some recommendations which were all really nice, brought us extra dishes of the ones we finished first and was always asking if we wanted more. While the experience wasn't quick it was a great night in a new place that hopefully does well. Well done and we will be back.

Great food and service!

The host takes the time to talk to you and find out what style of dishes you like and then makes some suggestions, which were all great. Some of the dishes are similar to Indian, but somehow different. I've been there 3 times now and tried a variety of dishes and have yet to be disappointed.

Thought the best food and best value was Indian Kitchen in Russel Lea, they now have a rival. Can't quite figure which is the best but this one is a cracker. The food was superb, the service was a little slow but given it was boxing day I'll let them seeing as most other places were closed.

Extremely friendly, accommodating and great suggestion. All entrees and mains were great, nothing disappointed, even the rice was good if that can be believed. We will be back for sure, next time with the kids.

I've just returned from lunch at Bamiyan and it was amazing. The food was very fresh, had just the right amount of spice and flavour, with exceptional variety. Michael was a wonderful host and was very hospitable. The traditional Afghani tea finished off the meal nicely. Highly recommended for something a bit different, yet very approachable and welcoming.
