The food is amazing and I regularly eat here for breakfast. It is my preferred breakfast place in Bondi. No it's not cheap but it is all organic and good qualitty food, which justifies the price.
Unfortunately I often find the staff moody and cranky, to the point where I feel unwelcome. Other times it's like I'm their long lost son returning home! So if you can handle being greeted with grumpy staff, it's worth the risk.
I went to this restaurant and was dissapointed to learn they do not have any bamboo. what if u liked panda's? also the prices are very expensive for my taste
This secret little treasure is partly soo good because it is so secret... but alas the truth always gets out... The food is great, staff down to earth and friendly, oh and the smell of the food.. mmmmm discover and Njoy
I absolutley adore any of the food that is served here. Full of the love of your mums home-made cooking and so damn tasty. The organic factor is definitley a plus and the people are just so damn chatty.
I have been to Bamboo several times for breakfast. Their veggie brekkies are to die for! especially their mushrooms and special home made beans & chutney. The street is quiet & residential so off the main drag but I prefer it for that. The staff are friendly & soul ful. This place is unintrusive and relaxed - well worth a visit.
OH MY DOODE!!! I love this place! It is so good - me and my friend just love it! We couldn't ask for better food and service. We are from Minnesota so it was really nice being in a different kind of atmosphere!
Whatever you do, don't have the buckwheat pancakes, they taste and have the same texture as cardboard, not that I've eaten cardboard before, but I can imagine it tastes like that. I went there with a bit of a hang over too, wasn't in the best way and they forgot my coffee! I wasn't impressed at all. But it is in a nice quiet street and has a good local feel to it.
Hidden up a side street away from the Bondi main drag (and opportunities for posing and perving), Bamboo is an oasis of sophisticated flavours and friendly, unpretentious service. I'm no vegetarian (Lord, I've tried) but I keep coming back for their scrummy vegeburgers and proprietor Francis's laconic asides.
