Overall an average meal, our BBQ pork was a chunky sweet pork pieces that were pale pink and not too overly drenched in a light sesame soy sauce. We ordered some steamed pork dumplings to try out the "dumpling" part of this adventure and when the dumplings arrived I had to say I was disappointed by the lack of taste and dryness of the filling inside. In comparison to other Chinatown dumpling joints, don't think I'm too impressed with Bamboo's.

My sister and I celebrated our birthday here with a group of friends, it was great. We ordered one of their banquets, the owner was very accommodating and provided excellent service. The food was great, I especially recommend the duck pancake, though all of it was delicious!

Love this place but had never heard of it until on tourist shopping brochure mentioned it. It was a drizzly rainy friday place opens at 12 for service. Couldn't decide wine so was offered 2 to taste. Had the pork and prawn dumplings 5 per serve I received 6 and a free gow gee. I had the chicken peanut on cane skewers they were beautiful as well. Very reasonably priced service was swift and very helpful, sat right by the heater and plenty of bench seating inside and out will return again thats for sure.

Great cosy little dining spot, with tasty food. Don't expect the same kind of value as a cheaper style Chinese dumpling bar, but it's nice if you want something a little more upscale than the typical dine in or take away joint.

The spinach and crab dumplings were particularly good, as were the chicken satay served on sugar cane and the duck pancakes. I'd quite like to go back for one of their banquets.

I love this Dumplings Bar. In fact I love all the Bamboo Bars. The squid, duck pancakes and the dumplings with the broth in them are my faves. Oh and I love that it is so reasonable! Not many places you can have an amazing meal for such an affordable amount! Love Bamboo!

Dined here a few months ago after purchasing a $19 voucher for a "dumpling fix" for 2. The dumplings were quite good and we got to try a few different kinds and ordered a few more. Loved the peking duck pancake and I don't usually like duck! Casual atmosphere and not very spacious inside however there's extra seating outside.

What a shame - perhaps if the little man with the god complex and beret was actually friendly this place could be a great restaurant. I continually go back because the dumplings are great; but now I have given up forever. He makes comments about the wine people bring, balks when asked for more chilli, and is just generally rude.

I've been told about this place and had to try it! I love dumplings! Never been so disappointed. Punched my mate for recommending this joint. terrible terrible terrible all the dumplings are bought from china town and steamed on site - I'm sorry but that's not a restaurant! And the bald bloke that works there was smoking and serving - are you serious?
