Great city bar with loads of character.

The food and tapas are inventive and full of flavour. Popcorn chicken with dipping sauce was a favourite. Plenty of cocktails for the ladies and $5 peroni's for the boys...can't go wrong.

PS - Be careful on the stairs! Must be the most narrow stairs I have walked on.

After searching high and low for a venue for my engagement party I discovered this little gem in the cbd. From booking through to service on the actual day itself the staff were friendly and helpful, offering suggestions on how best to maximise our budget for both the food and drinks. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Most of our guests commented on how great the food and drinks were. A great time was had by all. Thank you Balcony Bar.

I went to balcony bar with a group of 6 girls after reading the reviews on eat ability and it definitely lived up to the hype. Cocktails were great, atmosphere perfect. Next time you go definitely try the pork belly and the Beetroot & sambucca Aranchini balls, fantastic!

Had my girlfriend's birthday celebration at the Balcony Bar in the Cushion Room on Friday. We all had a fantastic night, the service was great, the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The finger foods/canapes were fabulous and very tasty although may not be enough if you were to come on an empty stomach. The manager Lloyd is an absolute legend, he's quite skilled behind the bar as well. Be sure to try one of his own crazy concoctions. We'll definitely be back for another night out! Cheers.

Ps. beware of the stairs, quite a task to maneuver at the end of the night after a few.

Honestly, Balcony Bar is exactly what Sydney needs. The ambience is unpretentious and welcoming, and yet brings the easy sophistication you expect from drinking spots in Melbourne. The owners are always there with a friendly word, ensuring the service is exceptional and with an eagle eye on a total client experience. Each bite is delectable, and if you are not sure what to drink, the chaps behind the bar will always find something special for you to try.

Nothing is too much trouble. If you have a group to cater for they will make sure it happens some hail or shine. I organised a large group for drinks in the laneway one Summer evening when torrential rain came down, so off they went to buy tarpaulins to string up and protect everyone so the drinking could go on .... Gold.

Love, love, love this little wine bar. By day it's a white table cloth restaurant with great lunch food for corporate types. I always get the steak and it's cooked to perfection.

At night, I go for a wine and beers with mates and enjoy the tapas - the sesame spiced popcorn chicken is my favourite. Love it.

Polite/chatty/fun crowd, great service by the owners who are always there having a chat with folks, excellent drink specials (I rated 10, but to be honest, I haven't had a cocktail there yet - menu looks nice/classy though), and the value of the tapas means you don't have to break the bank.

I live close by and this place has quickly become my classy little local. Excellent.

I love this place! I have lunch here quite often and usually after-work drinks once every couple of weeks. The food is so good and the service is excellent. The place is just perfect - a great little bar with dark, stylish decor and a vibrant, intimate atmosphere.
