Much hyped but underwhelming in comparison to other nouvelle Thai cuisine restaurants in the area. Service is definitely the aspect which most needs work at Balance, ambience is good for a party group, very bad if a romantic dinner for two. A little overpriced, but then they are competing with one of the best Thai restaurants in Sydney 2 klms down the road.

This is such a great alternative and the food, ambiance and staff are top notch! The Crying Tiger is a must as is the Panang Chicken and the BBQ steak salad. Love this place, will be back soon !

The tables are way too close together, on a Wednesday night it was packed hard to talk to my wife because of the noise, air-conditioning not able to cope. Plating on large plates looks great but if you are on a small table don't order more than 2 dishes, and of course they all arrive at the same time, it's a thai bistro, plenty of staff but they are not well trained give it a miss for a aromatic night.

Just had enjoyed a fine meal at 'Balance Thai' in Seaforth. Infact, I would go as far as to say that it is the best meal that I have eaten at a restaurant over the past twelve months. We were made to feel welcome as soon as we entered. Sat down in a cosy and comfortable environment.

Food was order and service was quick (but not to quick). Every single dish we ordered was absolutely delightful. Lots of children enjoying their meals as well. Our two children loved their kids meal which were also served up very quickly.

The dessert was something else, out of this world. Water glasses were constantly kept filled with chilled water. Every time dishes were delivered or taken away, it was done with a big smile. I will be going back soon and will never have problems recommending this place if it keeps its standards this high. The cost was very reasonable as well. Well done Balance Thai.

Wow! This place was absolutely buzzing friday night! Service was amazing, the food was excellent and beautifully presented! The BBQ meat salad is a must! Will be back soon!

Balance Thai is a great addition to Seaforth as the area desperately needs decent restaurants. The food is excellent and the restaurant always buzzing with locals. Highly recommended dishes, caramelised pork hock, soft shell crab and the roast red duck curry. Similar style food to Thai 9 and Yok Thai. Well worth a try.

This new BYO Thai restaurant opened in Seaforth on 8 August 2011. It holds itself out to be a balance of traditional and modern Thai food. The food is fresh and some of the dishes very tasty and a little different (spicy pork belly as an example), whereas there are also the more standard Thai food offerings as well.

The decor is fresh and modern. Having eaten there several times, the service, whilst friendly, is grossly disorganised and generally hopeless, with mains often arriving with or before entrees, bookings fouled up or not honoured, and there is no professional or experienced front of house management. It is the food and value that saves this place, and both are good. But the service/ management problem needs to be addressed.
