Still love this place for the flavorsome food at a value u can't beat! my favorite dish is still the mohinga (fish flavored soup noodle), but the tofu salad (made from peas I believe) has changed since I first visited here. It's only served on weekends. Used to be soft, fragrant and the texture's more powdery - now it's stiff, lost the fragrance and has a gelatinous texture to it, miss the original tofu.

This is a great place to get authentic Burmese food. There is a good selection of dishes on the menu, including an interesting range of drinks. Service has been quite good on my several visits. Recommended dishes include goat curry and Bagan chicken.

•Warning: No credit card. Cash only.
•Beware of lax service, waitressess don't always speak English well enough, but it certainly is authentic.
•Free green tea/water, but be prepared for this as your first decision on entry.
    •BYO only.

Recommend: Chicken Biriyani (much milder than Indian restaurants are capable of), Goat curry, Burmese Fried Rice, Vegetable samosas, vegetarian (garlic) beans.

PS: Used to be cheaper with more additional free food but now everything needs to be ordered individually and no green mango either. Salad/cucumber portions are now skimpy, so value for money has diminished, but food is still delicious!

Great Burmese restaurant, Bagan Chicken is a standout dish and very cheap, friendly service and interesting decor, very good experience.

Definitely great value for money. Regular customer first time review. I've taken many friends to try out Burmese food here and every friend has wanted to come back for more. The best Burmese food in Sydney. For those that haven't tried Burmese food before its a mix between Chinese, Thai and Indian. For those who likes spicy food don't forget to ask for more chilli.

Amazing food. You will not be disappointed. Anyone who says the food is "too oily" obviously does not understand good South East Asian food. As a Singaporean, I found that the dishes were all really authentic with hints of Thai, Chinese, and Indian influence. Great value for money too!

Tried this place out on a reasonably busy Sun lunchtime. It sports an interesting menu with chinese and burmese dishes. We ordered a couple of burmese dishes, both of which were good though one could have used a little more seasoning. The service from the staff (chinese Yangonese) was surprisingly good considering I usually get the rough end of the stick when it comes to service in asian restaurants. Reasonable looking decor with tables a little close together. Fair prices between $9-13 for most mains. I'll be back if I'm in the vicinity.

I've been to this restaurant many times throughout the past recent years and I quite like this restaurant. The food is inexpensive and tastes delicious, but also usually very oily. It can be a very loud restaurant most of the time and the tables are very packed and you have to sit very close to other tables. The service is OK. Food is served very fast but the waitresses are rather cold towards you. I would recommend this restaurant for people who just want to dine.

I went there with a group of 11 friends recently on a Friday night. We ordered a lot of food to share and we were filled to the brim and it came down to only under $15 per person. The service was reasonable considering that it was so busy, and the food was quite tasty- very recommended!

We found this place one Sunday lunch cruising around Strathfield. We hadn't seen too many Burmese restaurants around (if fact, we hadn't seen any) so we were up for the challenge. We went cautious on our first experience there and had the traditional soup, Mohinga, the crab spring rolls and the crispy beef. Was asked if I wanted the beef spicy to which I said "very, please".

Wow, the best dry hot beef ever, the soup was very yummy as well but the crab rolls were only Ok. All excellent value service with soothing hot tea and friendly staff. Many Burmese people there to confirm its a good place. Will definitely go again and recommend to others.
