Went for brunch. Vegetarian breakfast disappoints. Baked beans are hard, my canned baked beans at home are better! I could cook a better brekky at home! Mediterranean breakfast looked liked a dogs breakfast. They were out of banana so went for the raspberry and apple frappe, it was ok if you like fresh ingredients.

It seems from the reviews here that this place has up and down nights for service. Or perhaps it's just that perceptions of service are always very subjective.

The staff at Badde Manors were really lovely and attentive when we went there and I couldn't fault it. The dinner was lovely, I had fantastic Eggplant Ravioli which left me so full. However, one oft the people I was with had the Nachos which looked a bit ordinary.

The main fault I had with the food was the Canoli I had for dessert which very plain and had obviously been sitting there for a while because it was also very soggy. So I highly recommend the ravoili but stay away from the Canoli!

I have been to Badde Manors a couple of times with friends a few years ago so decided to go back there recently by myself. Have to say the staff were friendly and helped me with my selection I was umm-ing and ahh-ing for over 10 minutes because everything on the menu looked fantastic! I ended up getting the crumbed mushrooms with ricotta and it was delicious! I could have easily split it with someone else because the serving was massive! The only down side to this place is the price esp when you're a broke student!

But I will definitely go back to try the other options and hopefully have enough room for those yummy desserts!

I have only been here for dessert so I can't comment on their food but they have a display counter with a variety of cakes, slices and gelato. My family and I tried the blackberry cheesecake and ricotta cheesecake which was nice and perfect with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Gelato was nice And tiramisu was too strong in liquor. Service was friendly and cakes came out fast. Cakes are well priced, this place is the go to venue for dessert in glebe!

Poor customer service, long wait and the pasta I had was over cooked and sauce had too much water (seriously I could have done better job). Waitresses were rude and have no idea how run a cafe.

Went here for breakfast today. Ordered the Badde Manors Big Brekkie. Came with a big black hair sitting on the mushrooms. Sent it back only to have the same plate returned 40 seconds later with the hair removed with the comment "It was only on the mushrooms.

Needsless to say I didn't eat any of it. Tried my friends breakfast and was very bland and oily. Butter was already melted in little tubs they give you.
Tables were so cramped. They also sat us right next to coffee maker who insisted on bashing the little coffee holder thing as hard as he could into the coffee bin so every 30 seconds you would hear Bang bang bang.

Overall cute little place but seating is so cramped for 4 people to sit at and prices were quite expensive and food was unimpressive. Won't be going back again. Ohh yeah I ordered a Mocha and when I got to the bottom of the Cup found massive chunks of coco stuck to the bottom as it obviously wasn't stirred enough.

Ended up going up the road to get a better breakfast as this was a very unpleasant eating experience.

A Glebe institution to be sure, you'll see the creative types chain smoking outside, dressed as beat poets, scribbling furiously in their notebooks. But there are all sorts here, I've never found the staff rude or grungy. Friendly, efficient service.

Badde Manors is cosy, vego comfort food. Sometimes a little bland, but generally on the money. I especially like the bagels. Chai is good, desserts are wonderful. Try the tiramisu!

They have an interesting selection of beverages, such as saleb, which I haven't encountered before. I normally go here once a week for a coffee and a piece of cake or share the plate of nachos with my girlfriend. I really like the feel of the place, its relaxed and has a really nice vibe. The cake selection is amazing, the ricotta cheesecake is not too sweet and is surprisingly light.

The coffee is consistently good, so is the hot cider and saleb. I'm pretty sure the food is all vegetarian, but is still very tasty and simple. Seating is a bit sparse so I can't imagine what the place is like on Saturday morning and its 'help yourself' for water.

Ah, Badde Manors! I first went there in '85, a few months after they opened. I still go now and it's still great! The hot apple cider is delightful, a simple concept I know. Sparkling apple juice, heated with cloves, but it's glorious! And, without any doubt, they have the best café-style nachos I've ever had and they have the best cherry-cheese strudel I've ever eaten at a café. (Almost as good as my half-Lithuanian partner makes).

I have always come here for the Chai! If in Glebe for dessert I knew I could come here and get the best Chai in town. Oh but what happened? Went there last night and received a tasteless chai. Has this place got new owners? The staff were different to what I had come to know and love in the past, and can I mention the terrible chai! Won't be back.
