This is one of the worst restaurant that I know in Sydney that provides a wrong impression on Japanese food and restaurants. Those who've never been to Japan, you will be shocked once you go there. This restaurant provides such a small amount of food per dish with absolutely ridiculous price. Very sad to see this kind of restaurant. I agree lost hat for good food guide.

The best authentic Japanese food I ever had outside of Japan! Not like all those chef that try to make 'fusion' food, Azuma keeps it real! Great at dinner time!

I've invited my friends from overseas, knowing that the food and the value was great, but when we actually had food, the sushi-sashimi lunch set was disappointing.

Food and service were excellent. We found the staff very friendly and the quality of the food was top rate. One could dine there inexpensively, but if you have entree, mains dessert expect to pay - an excellent experience.

Its beef sukiyaki is definitely the best in town. It is slightly towards the expensive side, but it's worth every cent. In fact, I go there just for the sukiyaki! Their sushi is also good, but the tempura isn't done very well.

Having gotten used to 'fushionised' Japanese food. Dining at Azuma came as a pleasant surprised. Dining at Azuma can be compared to reading Kawabata, the food tasted clean and pure, evoking the simple beauty of temple food, supposedly the basis of traditional Japanese cuisine.

Careful attention was obvious in the mixture of taste, texture, presentation and order of the dishes. The staff were quite attentive, and became more friendly after we asked for the Japanese menu.

Excellent food and services. The place was private and warm. The price is a bit expensive, but it is one of the best Restaurant in Sydney.

I have eaten at all of Sydney's japanese restaurants and the food at Azuma was easily the best I've tried. The service was also excellent.

Really excellent Japanese food, with authentic, albeit expensive dishes presented beautifully. Staff attentive and typically efficient in that Japanese manner. We are regulars for lunch, not tried dinner
