Been here about 4 times. The party rooms are good so that you can have a private gathering. I have never been disappointed with the food, although I do think the finer japanese cuisine they offer is a little bit pricey. Service was good.
I love this place! I visit there regularly and always enjoy the food. The service is great and always helpful. If you are there purely to eat sushi, you should book a stool at the sushi bar where the sushi is prepared in front of you. I recommend the braised flounder if you eat a la carte.
Went here for dinner with a group of about 10 of us. This was my first visit. We were in a private room and overall the food & service were fantastic. Started off with an assortment of sashimi, the fish was very fresh & tasty. The presentation was simple & elegant. I loved the hand rolls too, especially the tempura. It is probably one of the best Japanese restaurants around.
Overall everyone in the group had a great time (some of the group were regulars). I can’t wait to go back!
Was here over the weekend, the food, the service and staff were very good. This place is nice if crave some Wagyu Beef, Flounder and the Grilled duck breast.
I went there for a friend's birthday. We were in a private room and it was good. The food was pretty good. Sushi was very authentic and duck was good but a little Chinese/French, the wagyu was good, tempura was great... the experience was pretty good in general.
We had very pleasant special evening at this restaurant. Authentic Japanese flavour and presentation, attentive, warm, polite and welcoming service makes this restaurant truly outstanding. A la carte menu covers variety of quality seafood and meat dishes and we particularly liked white fish carpaccio. Lobster was so fresh and tasty, sushi was professionally crafted and amazing. Wagyu beef shabu-shabu was ok but slightly disappointing.
Such thinly sliced meat can easily lose its taste to hot pot broth and dipping sauce was way too strong that we couldn't taste wagyu beef itself. Service was exceptionally attentive and polite. We felt we were really welcomed to be there.
It is, like many other reviewers say, a pricey restaurant. This restaurant is recommended to those who appreciate the quality over quantity. We'll definitely come back on regular basis.
Craving Japanese and Yoshii's closed on a Monday lunch, my husband and I were left with little choice but to go to Azuma. Glad we did. Even though the dining room was suit filled and the majority of the lunch crowd heading out, it did not stop us from embarking on the degustation. And even though we were the only table left, we didn't feel rushed to finish our wine - a great German Riesling. Nice list.
