Bad location for great pub. Would be a world better in the heart of the rocks. Great menu. Well worth a dinner and beer with friends. Beer selection second to none.

Always come back to this place. Yummy pizzas with interesting toppings they change quite often, and the seatings are all unique - range from sitting outside on a warm day, indoors for a heritage pub feel. Think there is even a rooftop deating for people staying at the hotel. Never had any problems other then at certain times, this place becomes really popular so need to wait for seats. Still, well worth it.

I was rather looking forward to going to this pub, looking at the reviews here. But I was disappointed.

First, the food. Yes, the pizza toppings were interesting. BUT they were on frozen pizza bases (like you get from pizza hut and the like but not as good). This made the base very biscuity, I would have though that spending so much time on toppings would mean they would put in the small effort to make their own dough . The price was also a bit much, $13.50 for most of them and they were about the size of a small bread and butter plate - even with generous toppings this is a rip off.

Sitting outside was nice (on Cumberland St), nice and cool (it was a warm night last friday and inside would have been stiffling) and sheltered from the rain. They were busy but that didn't excuse the rudeness of the bar staff. First was the bar manager (I think) telling us he'd check on a table booking for us then walking off and not coming back. Then being repeatedly asked if we were using all the chairs at our booked table, despite giving up some of our seating to another party. Then being asked if we were ordering (some of our group was late) and if not could we leave - despite the person asking us having to walk past another group of people who were occuping a large table and who didn't order food at all in the time we were there. Then, when trying to order the food at the bar, the bar maid telling me to wait. Fair enough, I thought, she was restocking the dishwasher. But then she rearranged some bottles and took someone else's drink order and filled it - all the while I'm standing there with $120 in my hand.

If it hadn't been for the people I was with and the nice place to sit outside I'd have left pretty early. I won't be back again - the staff are too rude and the food prices very inflated for that area and the quality.

Great variety of sauces and generous pizza toppings. Sit outside on a summer day, catch some rays, drink a few beers and enjoy the pizza and noisy atmosphere.

An icon - great heritage and you feel the clock wind back to the 20's & 30's. Best service in the Rocks during my visit - Beergod

The best pizza you will ever taste - try the Roast Duck, it's like Peking Duck on a pizza. Perfect location for lunch and a beer, especially after an arduous Bridge Climb!
