Their pizzas are great. They have gluten free bases too which is good but they charge a bit extra for them. I had a pizza with no dairy and it was divine. The vegetarian options are very good and they have many Australian beers to choose from. Service wanes a bit because they hire backpackers.

Brilliant selection of beers (possibly one of the best in Sydney), traditional pub decor because its a little out the way you don't get all the tourists that the pubs down the hill get. Great beer festival and Australia day celebrations
The rocks = very exspensive. The pizzas are a rip off So Small.

Made a booking for 9-10 work mates for Friday 15 April. On arrival we were taken to someone else's table so when that group eventually arrived, we have to move to a different, more cramped table in the lower bar, so they did not have a table for us despite not having lost our booking, as my name was there at the abr on a booking list. A variety of pizzas and drinks was ordered at the bar.

After waiting for about 45 minutes and after two rounds of drinks, my boss went back to the bar to find out where the food was. The senior staff advised him that she had forgotten to put our order through and gave him 2 jugs of beer to apologise, which was a good gesture. Anyway, the pizzas finally came: crocodile, duck, chorizo, vegeterian and margarita. They were Ok, the duck one had some sweet BBQ sauce smothered all over which was not very appealing.

These pizza toppings are obviously aimed at the touristy crowd, they are not really "fair dinkum" pizza toppings. Perhaps, the kitchen could serve "tapas" style dishes to feature indigenous ingredients if that's what their intention is, not just whack them on a pizza. As an Australian of Italian Heritage, I do get on my high horse when I see toppings on pizzas that would have your average Neopolitan scratching their heads in disbelief.

Note to all pizza makers in Sydney and beyond: it's not necessary to put more than two toppings on a pizza and crocodile, BBQ emu and pan seared kangaroo fillets are not pizza toppings and should never, ever be so.

Absolutely love this pub, I'm a rubber arm for a Sunday afternoon beer sitting outside on a sunny day sampling one of their 100 plus Australian beers & ripping into one of their gourmet pizza's. Try the chorizo, duck, Moroccan lamb or tandoori chicken pizzas. I'm yet to find a Syndey pub that does it better. Granted not traditional pizza's but the flavours work for me.

The pizzas here are really good, especially the duck pizza and the antipasto pizza. Good value and a good selection of beers too. Pub itself is quite rundown but I suppose it's all part of the character of the place, although I will say the ladies toilets are appalling! Would go back for food/drinks though.

One of my favourite pubs in the city-great meat and vego pizzas. Especially like the chicken tandoori pizza and antipasta pizzas.

Really yummy pizzas - try the margarita one or the pumpkin one. Both delicious and really generous sizes! Very chilled out environment & good pub with decent drinks menu. Good for a relaxed meal. Very quick service!

Have been to the hotel many times and is definitely one of my favourites! It's so nice to see a pub supporting Aussie brews and great ones at that! With over 130 Aussie beers in stock, there is something for everyone! Is quite a touristy place in Summer which just adds to the whole ambience and atmosphere of the place, its great!

Must try the Roast Duck Pizza, its incredible! Also the Kangaroo, Crocodile and Emu pizzas are a great hit with the tourists! A perfect place to relax and unwind in the sun and the staff are absolutely amazing! So friendly and knowledgeable!

Been here a few times and booked a table one year on Australia Day. Ambience is always great. Indoor and Outdoor seating (w/heaters outside in Winter - big plus).
Love the Tandoori Ckn Pizza and the Duck one (Roast/Peking..?). Have tried all the Croc/Kangaroo/Emu etc for Laughs (sorry I didn't like them so much but had to try it w/overseas guests, for the novelty factor). Its a good Pub, not too fancy (like Pubs shouldn't be) I like it and would recommend for beers and good times w/friends. (Service lets it down a bit).
