What a great restaurant! Its kind of out of the way and not on the main strip in Eastwood but well worth the 2min walk detour from the mall area (rowe st).
The food is of excellent quality and the service is the best I have had in a Chinese restaurant. The spring rolls are a delight!!!
We had an excellent experience here recently. After waiting in line for over 1/2hr at another popular Eastwood Restaurant (that I won't name) only to other locals queue jumping us, our group of 8 people decided to take a walk down Eastwood and look for another restaurant. We came across Aspects of Asia and we were greeted in a very friendly manner by a pretty old guy who we pictured to be the owner. The same gentleman ended up being our waiter for the rest of the night and we had a sensational time. The food and service were great and we look forward to going back. And what was most impressive is that the bill at the end of night out with 8 people only reflected a bill for about 5 people. It's great!!
Good food and very reasonable. The quality of some of the dumplings can vary but on the whole very consistent. No flamboyancy in cooking ... though good family style Chinese food. It is a good local dining spot.
Party of four came on Sat 23rd Sept. Good service, good food and good value. Decided to try Aspects. Pleasently surprised. For a moment I thought I was back at the Tai Yuen in the Haymarket. The AirCon works well ,should be a great spot in summer.
Had been coming here quite often the last few years but it appears that the level of service has gradually diminished. The food would usually be quite good, sometimes a little too much on the greasy side though. But serving size usually good value. However, the last time (and it probably will be the last time) I was there with my family, the dining room was only half full, yet we were left standing by the counter at the entrance waiting to be seated for an unreasonably long time. Wait staff and even the manager standing behind the counter failed to acknowledge our presence at all. We were completely ignored like were weren't there which was quite disheartening since we had been regular customers for a few years. We ended up leaving (still without being noticed!) and enjoying a hearty meal elsewhere.
Well this is the family staple. We have been coming here for years. The fact that it is still around after the influx of new restaurants in the area is a testament to its consistent good food and value. Has all the regular Chinese food; the seafood is quite nice, always love the scallops. On Sundays you find it packed with many families catching up together kids. It's not going to knock your socks off with new and unusual dishes but if you want traditional dishes cooked well in a family friendly environment, I would not go past Aspects.
