Yummy food but possibly smallest servings this side of malacca. Popularity seems to have gone to their heads, too - a complaint about the paltry size of rendang fell on deaf ears. Terrible, terrible attitude, terrible value for money, leaving a terrible taste in my mouth (which is a shame as the food is better than average).

    One word: yum-lah!

The selection is great and the authenticity, about 99.9% there. Had the laksa, tofu bakar/goreng and the rendang and roti which came to a grand total of $51, with the addition of 2 teh tariks. The chef brought the laksa out and you could see how proud he was of it, and so he should. It is the best laksa ever. Parking is a breeze and the staff, so accommodating with my idiosyncratic ordering (less noodles, more beansprouts, extra belacan, prawns only etc etc). Will I be back, mestilah (malay for of course!)

Great place with delicious food. There is a good assortment of food and I have by now tried most of the dishes on the menu. I like the meal sets that are on offer, including the Nasi Lemak and the Bak Kut Teh set.

If you're looking for best cheap, fast Singapore/Malaysian foods, try Aseana Food Village. Staffs are very friendly. Love most of the foods (no complaining at all)- Bak Kut teh (Pork Herbal Tea Soup) isn't too strong, Mee Pork was perfect, and yummy desserts. Will definitely go back there again, worth the money, worth the try!

Personally I like the ideas of Aseana food village with beautifully designed menu of dishes, drinks and dessert. Couple of us from Malaysia and Singapore ordered few of familiar dishes and drinks, and We Love it. Name a few, Mee goreng is so so closed to mamak stall style, rojak is sublime, and we do find the Bak Chok Mee is even better than what you can find in Singapore.

If you love traditional Malaysian Tea, you must try their Teh Tarik (pulled milk tea), the taste is strong while the extensive froth is definitely a bonus! Muar Chee is so tender and soft, basically melt in your mouth. Well in overall we graded Aseana as a great place to hang out and indulging yourself with authentic Malaysian/Singapore food.

Been there a few times, very friendly and efficient staff. I haven't tried many dishes, so it's hard to compare with other Malaysian places around the area. The Bak Kut Teh was quite good, unlike some which had a really strong herbal smell. My friend recommended the duck, which I liked too.

Their lunch specials are considered more expensive than most other Asian eateries in Randwick. I had Nasi Lemak with sambal squid. The portion looked smallish, but I ended up feeling full. Next time I may try some of their Burmese dishes.

I consider Aseana an average joint for Malaysian food. They offer some Malaysian dishes and some Burmese dishes. Rojak was not good, nasi lemak so so, chicken rice so so. Around that area (Randwick, Kensington), there are better quality food restaurants to visit.

Don't bother. What comes to mind is "Jack of all trades, master of none". Kopi was luke warm, weak and no condensed milk used. Bak Chor Me was like Maggi's version. Suggest they focus on a handful of solid, solid dish and specialised. Rather than the current not 3 not 4 food.

With a chilly Sydney afternoon and somewhere warm to dine we thought of heading here after reading good reviews but it turned out to be one of the worse restaurant I have ever been. To start we were placed right in the front of the door with cold wind blowing in every time the door was opened after a nice welcome. We pleasantly asked to move somewhere better and warm but were placed right below a freezing air con but we move again to a bit warm corner which was ok.

We had the achar achar which probably the best dish of all. Crispy wontons nothing interesting, lee's stewed duck is basically duck stewed and placed on top of the ok sauce, flavourless. Sambal prawns very small in portion again and something anyone can do it at home. Staff wise I work in hospitality industry and I hate when staff have to keep running back to the kitchen or managers which was like it here even on what dishes are nice and would you recommend?

The biggest upset of all they charged everything for example we ordered rice for 5 people but it was only enough for two to three person. We were served two small bowls of rice and when asked for more we were asked to pay the same amount as before. I would suggest you are better off somewhere else.
