Always enjoy a family meal here. Great value and large portions. The service is a bit slow but friendly. This is not a spot for a romantic dinner but a very good local. The take away is also great value. Ring first and order and then you don't have to wait.
This is one of my favourite local restaurants. The food is made then and there so it is always fresh! The grilled calamari is divine, love the sushi, sashimi and gyozas. All very tasty! Hard to get a table if you don't book ahead most nights.
Always very busy in here, even weekdays, it's byo and the food I thought was really quite nice and not expensive. My only concern is the service, since the restaurant also does take away on occasion. It becomes so busy that I've found myself waiting almost an hour for food.
The food is rubbish, we ordered the gyoza (the fried dumpling), from the time we ordered to the deliver it to our table on took not 5 mins, the dumpling looks alright but inside don't have much stuff (all is the skin). The teriyaki Salmon wasn't good too, I don't think they know how to cook, the salmon was broke into small pieces (I mean small!). They used a small bowl to put the seeweed salad, they should use large plate, it so difficult to eat.
The pork/chi katsu, the meat are so thin. I think for the price in this place, I rathar go to Ichiban to have the ramen there.
This neighborhood restaurant has a nice family charm about it. The servings are large (the tempura is massive!) and very tasty. Good for a relaxed Friday night meal.
What can I say but terrible food, terrible service and above average whack on the $$$$. These guys have been after the cash out of bored Vaucluse housewives for years - well done I guess. Better off driving to Bondi Beach if you live in the area.
