The service was great, friendly and fast. Did not like the salad, the lettuce was brown on the edges, but everything else was really yummy. The beef was amazing, highly recommend great food, service great value for money.
Food is always fresh and fantastic and is a a lil pricey but you do have to remember you are also paying for the chef to personally cook for you.
I am not into the egg tossing and fried rice throwing so do decline that part as does my partner. Do enjoy the chefs skills in regard to cooking, every man should learn how to peel a prawn with such skill, would make the family BBQ so much easier. Staff are always very nice and helpful.
Food is beautiful, fresh, tasty, and cooked right in front of your eyes. All the chefs are great, all have a sense of humor, and like to pick on 1 person in the group. The shooting/catching of the food is a definite keeper for many customers. The service is great.
Went on a buzy night with a 21st happening, didn't stop the service. The pricing is slightly expensive, but despite this the food is great and lovely eating environment. Portions are rather small, but if you are up for a good one, I would suggest ordering 2 sets of meals, as this will not only fill you up, but you get double the fun.
Good teppanyaki place. Food is definitely the highlight as Asahi can do meats, vegies & eggs really well.
Most of the people around me were positively stunned at the chef's skills - maybe because they were large families with many kids. Other than the chef though, service can be lacking. You have to shout down people to get some drinks & rice, for instance. But my experience at Asahi's was on a busy Thursday night so it might be better some other time.
Value is worse. The price could be far cheaper but if you're after good food & a teppanyaki experience then I would recommend Asahi.
Great teppanyaki, excellent entertainment, staff in a hurry to fill your seats. Dessert was served in another room. If you have never had good Japenese, try this...
We chose a 35.00pp menu which was filling for us, it consisted of maybe 5-6 different types of food. It was fun and not as messy as we thought. The egg and rice tossing was hilarious, so don't expect it to be quiet. Its byo which was great and the service was lovely as well as the chef being entertaining. Reccommend going here in a group of 6 or more.
We went for a quick lunch only to realise a quick lunch doesn't exist here. There were only 2 other small groups and 1 was served before us even though we were there first. The food was minimal and we were still hungry. The staff were friendly enough but service slow and portions small.
This would have to be the best Teppanyaki place we have been to, the food is fresh and cooked just right without being hard and rubbery. We have always had a fantastic time here, and will definitely be back.
