I love pizza and this place has never disappointed since the new management took over. There seems to be a much greater focus on service and it is now great value for your money.

Food was great, haven't been there since the old Lady owned the place. Wow what a change, place is clean, music playing and service is great. We had the lamb pizza which was fantastic. Not greesy like alot of pizzas and a nice thin base.

We used to go to Arthurs Randwich a lot for group lunches and dinners and have always enjoyed their scrumptious gourmet pizzas. But unfortunately a change of ownership has really hurt this place. Their pizzas now are nothing but ordinary with about half as much toppings but the price has gone up fair a bit. You might find it OK if you have never been to the old Arthur's, but it is now far-off by a long shot...

Great pizzas - delicious vegetarian options and garlic pizza is awesome.
Service is really good also.
Casual kind of place but good atmosphere.

Congrats to the new owners for transforming this place into a fresh and pleasant eating experience!
Two of us ate here on a Sunday eve and the place was humming. Luckily we had taken the precaution of booking ahead because by 7.30pm there wasn’t an empty table in the house. And it gets noisy: no plush carpets and rich upholstery here: it’s a fairly Spartan layout with plain wooden tables and chairs and concrete floors. But being Arthur’s, you needn’t get too fussed about the noise because it’s basically a casual joint where you are unlikely to linger too long after finishing your meals.
Arthur’s is licensed, but for the serious beer drinker the offerings are pretty much limited to Corona and Peroni. The Peroni at $8 is a bit expensive so I went for the cheaper Corona ($7). I think a bit more variety in this dept would be a plus.
But the food won’t disappoint. For starters we shared a serve of garlic bread and a Greek salad. The garlic bread was soft as butter and nicely presented in a little basket, wrapped in tin foil to keep it hot. The salad was acceptable but I prefer my fetta cheese in smaller pieces.
For mains, I had the “Quattro” pizza and my dining companion had the "Melanz”. The “Quattro” had mushrooms, dried tomatoes and parmesan cheese and the “Melanz” also had mushrooms plus eggplant, artichoke and capsicum (we gave the pesto a miss). The large pizzas are $21. For adults, I’d stick to that size as it was just the right quantity. Pizzas have a thin, crispy base and topped with lashings of cheese and heaped full of the freshest, quality ingredients.
The only problem here is one of engineering. Obviously no-one bothered to measure the tables when doing the refit, to make sure that they could fit two large pizzas. Because they can’t. After struggling for a few minutes, our friendly waitress bought out two silver pizza stands of the kind that are now “de rigueur” at all decent pizza restaurants. But even that didn’t help.
So our two pizzas on their stands ended up virtually dangling over the edge of the table. I told our waitress that I would insist on a replacement if one fell on the floor but she assured me that that wouldn’t happen and it didn’t but still it was awkward and uncomfortable as we also had our drinks and salad on the table. Larger tables might help, but please guys, just as long as you don’t reduce the size of the pizzas.
We finished off with cappuccinos which were brilliant. All up we paid $73 for two drinks, garlic bread, a Greek salad, 2 large pizzas and 2 cappuccinos. I was quite happy with that
Service from our friendly waitress was efficient and polite. Toilets are clean and well provisioned but not great on a wet night because you need to step outside into an uncovered dark little alleyway to get there.
Parking at The Spot is a nightmare anytime of the week. We drove around for ages till we found something. So if you live nearby it’s best to walk (we didn’t because it was raining). Being the kind of relaxed, convenient place that this is, I can see myself coming back here again.

Went here about two months ago with a meal deal from the net. It was for a garlic bread, large pizza and gelato for 2 for $18. The garlic bread was what you would get from pizza hut (which to be honest, I enjoy, but I expected lovely, fresh ciabatta or something similar).
The pizza was tasty, but a bit greasy. We got a marinara pasta as well that had an awfully bland sauce and skimpy on the seafood. I did love the gelato.
The service by waitresses was fine when taking our order, but hard to get their attention when needed something. I did not appreciate not being checked on how we were doing any time throughout the meal. This is a simple task that is necessary even for a fuss-free pizzeria.
Overall, it was good, but without a voucher, I would not be going there again. Not great value.

Not very good service, pizza tasted average and not that great. There was only one waitress and she seemed very busy, we had to wait about 10 minutes before she took our order. She was slightly rude about it, and didn't apologise for the wait. She gave one of us the wrong drink and was too busy to come back. We waited at least 20 minutes for the pizza. Gave us the wrong pizza size too and we had to wait awhile for the right one. Received no apology. A bit disappointing, won't be back.
