Seems better now since the refurb. Friendly service although it depends on who is serving. Coffee was flavoursome although a tad too hot while the scrambled egg dish I ordered was tasty. Another cafe to choose from away from Coogee Bay Rd.

The art lounge cafe is amazing. The coffee is brewed to perfection and Baz makes the best eggs benny I've ever had in my life. The staff make the art lounge a great place to hang out. I have never ever had a bad cup of coffee or a bad food item. Every single thing there is amazing.

Just have to say I love Art Lounge the staff are lovely, good coffee, yummy poached eggs on vegemite toast. Always a pleasant visit.

This cafe has a lovely charm to it which is further enhanced by the warm and professional staff. My gave cafe in coogee I have been here many times for a relaxing Sunday morning with friends. The bfst is always great and guaranteed exceptional service.

I don't mind coming to Art whenever in Coogee as the coffee is of a good quality time after time. Service is nice and friendly and the locals seem to be chirpy all round. I like it for it's originality within the area and also value wise it's very, very fair for the locals. Nice!

Very pleasant spot for breakfast! We have been there on a thursday morning and it was not busy at all and the service was fab, as was the coffee. I thoroughly recommend the raspberry bread (yum!) and my husband was very pleased with the quality of the scrambled eggs with ham as well.

Our daughter enjoyed her milkshake (kids size) and our little one had babycino for free. Both liked the box of toys and books available in the cafe. It's a shame that the cafe is situated on such a large road, the traffic makes is much less nice to sit there. But overall highly recommended.

Have been here for both brekkie and lunch over the last couple of years, we regularly bring our friends visiting Sydney here too. Food and coffee are always great, love that you can have half serves at brekkie. Staff are always very accommodating and friendly and the food is good value for money.

Superb spot and great set up @ Art Lounge. Very honest and strong coffee sampled on Saturday morning. Packed to the rafters with both locals and tourists it produces a great atmosphere and ambience always.

Service is warm and efficient but can be a wait when the place is full. All in all one of the better coffee surrounds of Coogee and truelly a great location.

Service Ruined by one Barista‎, Sunday morning, we decide to try a new local place. The ambience is nice, but due to being a lazy Sunday the cafe is busy. It takes a while to get our order placed. The girl who took our order was very nice and apologetic. We understand that cafes get busy on Sunday. Our drinks take a long time because there is a back order of several drinks but that's okay too, it's a Sunday thing.

Our food comes out separately and by the time my partner is done with his egg breakfast, my breakfast bagel is brought out by the cook. He didn't seem to notice or to be concerned that the meals were not brought out together with a 15 minutes time lapse in between. I eat my breakfast, and it tasted good. When paying for the bill, the girl is a little confused where we were sitting and has trouble finding the bill.

I notice that there is also a 10% service charge on Sundays. So, I decide to let them know that our food came out completely separately. The girl looking for our bill apologizes which was very nice and professional, but the barista next to her just sighs "we know". The girl who is tallying up my bill tells me the bill is $27 and some odd cents. I couldn't hear what she said so I asked her if it was 20 cents or 70 cents. I got no clear answer so I decide to grab the bill to check the figures.

I give her my money and get the change and as I turn around to leave, the barista huffs at the girl who was taking care of my bill and mutters something under her breath (obviously talking about me). I turn around, and say to the barista "excuse me?" and the barista believe it or not says..."well, you are being rude."

Hmmm...is this somewhere people would like to come on a Sunday to get a serve by a cranky Barista?
