Very ordinary Italian food, in ordinary surroundings. Also overpriced for what you get. The service was friendly and efficient and commendable, but nothing else was worth recommending.

If you go to this restaurant expecting the grandness of somewhere like Aria then don't bother. This is a fantastic, traditional Italian restaurant, family owned and run. It's not overly expensive (unless you go for the specials) and it's child friendly. It's warm, it's comforting, it has a great ambience. If you are the type of customer that is hard to please then go somewhere where you pay for someone to suck up to you, don't ruin this restaurants reputation with your snobbery.

Very dissatisfied and bordering disgusted with Arrivederci’s food and value.
Despite advertising as a “seafood restaurant” the main menu had only one such dish (a pasta) and some entrees, virtually everything else is pasta or veal. The blackboard specials included fish and prawns ($40 each) or lobster (“market price”?). We ordered each of these. Only four unfresh, lukewarm, rubbery prawns were served, with a pitiful dollop of mashed potato, carrot and broccoli.
After removing the prawns heads and tails, half of my meager $40 meal was on the scrap plate. The fish and chips were just ordinary. The lobster was awful: stale and tough, and masked with repulsive-tasting horseradish, with only plain chips as a side. To our horror, the receipt revealed the half-lobster was $85, suggesting why the blackboards price was missing.
The staff did not tell us this beforehand, nor were they helpful or informative over food queries, although they were polite and professional nonetheless. We gave Arrivederci’s a go based on the two positive reviews here, which I can only assume are false, or just incredibly loyal patrons. The portions were tiny, the food was awful, and the prices absolute rip-offs. Maybe the pasta is okay.

This is truly the only italian restaurant that I have been to that has an italian chef.
Great extensive wine list, great menu which consists of a Daily Specials Board (Seafood and other seasonal dishes).
We sat on the outside deck with the other 30 or so customers, which was illuminated with these LED Lights on the awning which looked amazing. There was a function inside, and we had to go through to use the toilets, it was all spritzed up chair covers the lot may have been a wedding. We chatted with another table for a while and they said they have been following these people for 20 years or so. Previously Angelo and Teresa of Manly?
The food was amazing and tasteful, great sized portions. And the waiter to die for. He cracked me up so bad I was in tears, definitely will be back not only for the food but also the waiter. Watch out.

The only thing that is bad about this restaurant is that it keeps me away from my grandparents house, because the pasta tastes just like theirs, true homemade italian cooking at its best. Have been there for dinner on a thursday night and ordered takeaway on the friday and saturday and to our disappiontment it was not open for sunday nights meal, its addictive and the little old italian man that serves you is so cute.

Went here for the first time with 6 others. At the rear of the cafe style entrance is a more comfortable, quiet appointed room. One of our meals was missed and that person had to wait some time for it to come from the kitchen. Similarly, when coffees were ordered, one was missed.
The food my wife and I had was very average and seemed to have been microwaved. Billed as a seafood and Italian restaurant, the menu has no seafood other than in an entree and with pasta. The main course menu is predominantly veal and chicken, though there was a blackboard special of lobster (market price). A $3 per head charge for BYO which is ok except they provide nothing for it, no cooler for white wine for
No mints accompanied coffee (even though they initially missed one, including a main meal. When the bill came we found we had been billed for an extra main meal! When I expressed my dissatisfaction at the time we were soring out the bill, the staff became arrogant, defensive and rude, all they needed to do was be apologetic! We live quite close by and I told them I would like to have felt I would be able to come again and their response was that they didn't care where I lived. Arrivederci is well named!
