This is the best Indian in the mountains, but it is not traditional Indian food, the flavours are very much Anglo-cised, there are no hot and spicy dishes and all of the dishes are incredibly creamy. If you are after Indian in the mountains, this is really the only place worth going. The ambience is actually very good as the place is really popular, so it's always brimming with full tables having a good time. It is also surprisingly good value as the servings are large (the naan is huge) and as the dishes are really creamy and rich, a very little goes a very long way.
I worked at Arjuna's over 10 years ago, I got my entire family hooked on the food, that they travel an hour still to come and eat there at least twice a month.
I've travelled the world, and have never found Indian food to be better than Arjuna's, their Butter chicken and garlic Naans are delicious. I love the mixed entree. Only problem is I always overeat when I'm there, as the food is so great, you just want to keep eating..
Great Indian food, good value for money, nice atmosphere, you need to book to get in, as it is very popular. Can get noisy. Service can be a tad slow depending on how busy they are but the food is worth the wait.
Returned to this restaurant in November 08 still had the nicest Indian meal, very fresh and all cooked to perfection service was better and saw the sun setting from the upper deck very impressed and will be returning cost for 4 guests was only $60.00 very cheap and we were all amply fed.
Had the nicest Indian food here. They have the best eggplant dish I have ever eaten and the naan breads were so big and cooked to perfection. The service is a bit scatty but it cost $43.00 for two people and we came out of there so full, didn't get to see the sunset as there was a party in that part of the restaurant but definitely will go back.
Great to see a few different dishes to the standard Indian Restaurant fare. Very nice and cosy booths on the ground floor although sitting near to the rear door in winter is not recommended. Worth a visit.
The food here is fantastic in quality and in price. We have eaten at many Indian restaurants in 3 different states, and this one is our favourite. The reviewer below must be mistaken on the place he was eating at, or owns the competing restaurant nearby. The naan is huge- no need to order two and we can never finish our meals, although we desperately want to!
An indiscernible slurry of brown and orange sauces dotted with bullets of beef. The samosas came from the freezer to the deep fry to the table All horrible. You folk need to take yourselves off to the big smoke to taste good international dining. This place is horrible and expensive.
