Food is great, not your generic westernised Chinese foods but instead similar dishes but with a new age restaurant twist. Dishes seem to use fresh ingredients, the mushrooms used in many of their spicy stews (I think it may be oyster mushrooms) are great, and even dishes like sweet and sour pork are not smothered in oil and grease. And unlike the dishes that sae112 supposedly ate, not once have I ever come into contact with MSG at that restaurant, which is very important for me since MSG gives me allergic reactions.
It can get a bit crowded at times but maybe that's the sort of vibe they are looking for, personally I prefer a quieter atmosphere when I'm eating. Service is acceptable, sometimes there is a wait when trying to call a waiter but I guess since there are two sections and what seems to be 3 waiters, it was bound to happen.
And FYI sae112, the staff are speaking Korean not Chinese. If budget is high on your agenda and you like to try a new twist on the highly represented westernised Chinese cuisine, then I recommend Arisan.
Couldn't believe why this place was so busy with customers...? When I went there for lunch, the senior staff (I think) couldn't stop fighting with each other in Chin ese... talk about service. To top things off, the food was prepared with sooo much MSG, I had an upset stomach afterwards.
Great food. Servings are absolutely huge. Korean is the new Japanese. Staff are friendly. We had enough left over for lunch the next day. We will be back!
