Discovered Aquarius through a colleague who frequently visits this restaurant for corporate lunches and always raves on about the food. Had the pleasure of dining at Aquarius last Saturday night with my Fiancé where we had the up most enjoyable evening.

As recommended, we ordered the seafood platter for two and thoroughly enjoyed every mouth full! The Octopus was like nothing we’ve ever had, the calamari actually melted in my mouth, Prawns were so fresh and tasty and the Lobster mornay was spectacular.

The service was perfect and the musician playing there was awesome. I consider myself pretty fussy when it comes to seafood, therefore, I find it hard to believe the recent reviews I just read! Definitely be back!

I have to agree with previous review, tasteless, limp prawns and fish and my partners steak was overcooked and bland. Nice place and nice wine shame about the food. Disappointed and not worth the money we paid.

I don't recommend this place at all. The place was dead for a Friday night. We thought we would go big, and get the platter for 3 instead of 2 as we were supposed to get an extra lobster half. The 3 halves we got wasn't enough for one person, let alone 3. The extra $50 we paid for the extra half lobster was not justified at all.

The scallops were virtually raw, the BBQ octopus was smothered in black pepper to hide the lack of taste, the BBQ prawns tasted like the BBQ octopus which was obviously cooked together. The blue swimmer crab was completely washed of all it's natural salt flavours. The salad tasted as if it were prepared the day before and there was not enough (not sure why salad would be prepared so far in advance in an empty restaurant).

It was hard to tell the difference between the 2 types of fish because they both were tasteless. The calamari was white as snow, and also and no taste. The oysters were so small, it was like "spot the oyster!" There was only one type of oyster, there was not Kilpatrick or Mornay. The lobsters were so small and there was more Mornay than lobster. The menu stated hot and cold platter, but there was more cold than hot.

The food was so bad that they couldn't even make garlic bread. It was soggy, not brown and it was as if they threw it in the microwave. The best thing about Aquarius was the Exit sign!

We have wanted to try this place for sometime. Finally got there through a deal via Ouffer. We must say we were not disappointed. Especially the snoodle prawn entree which we both loved. Salad fresh & tasty. Mains were very delicious. The service was excellent. Our only regret was we forgot to get our voucher for a free bottle of wine for our next visit which will definitely be sooner than later.

We went here for our 24th anniversary and they fit us in despite heavy bookings that night. Just like the first time I went there, it was wonderful! A table on the balcony overlooking the river in sunset.

For entree I had the basil seared scallops served on pureed cannellini bean with black caviar and seared rocket. A unique and exquisite blend of flavors that complimented the scallops perfectly, a very sophisticated and well defined dish. For main I had the barbeque seafood plate, it was hot and had those lovely old fashioned chips golden and crunchy on the outside, fluffy within, and perfectly barbequed fresh white fish, prawns, scallops and squid without the blankets of horrid batter that most places disguise their food with.

The service was perfect, fast and attentive without hovering and always there when you needed them. We couldn't fit in the dessert so I settled for the Aquarius Liqueur coffee with cream - yummo! As Swarzenegger said, "I'll be back!"

We came to celebrate my fathers 85 birthday for sat lunch. We ordered seafood platter for 3 the sea food platter was beautiful,all the sea food was fresh and beautifully cooked an dwell presented. Service was good.

Thank you so much for a wonderful evening. The food was amazing. Had the BBQ seafood plate and could not fault it. The waitress was so nice and the staff very attentive. I cannot fault this restaurant. This was my second visit and I will definitely be back for more! Thank you.

I would just like to say thank you to Katia and staff for a very memorable evening on Friday night 29th April. We had 40 people for dinner and we could not have asked for anything more. The food was exceptional, service was absolutely fantastic and most of all everyone enjoyed themselves. I will be definitely arranging another night out there. My husband and myself could not thank the owners and the staff enough. I hope you have plenty more nights like this for your Restaurant.

Had dinner last sat and not coming back there again, paid for a set menu- entree and main for $50 bucks, which is expensive considering the serving size. The kids were served last which almost ruined everyone's night as the kids got cranky. Our group left feeling still hungry and we went straight to somewhere else for burgers and ice cream! Definitely not coming back!

We have received many great responses regarding the dinner gathering you attended. Suzie, It is such a shame when guests like yourself let their frustrations affect their honest thoughts when judging a venue. I understood you were frustrated that your kids did not get their meals first but as I explained to you during the evening that we need to follow the instructions given to us by the organiser. The organiser also explained this to you where you responded in an impolite manner. As a matter of fact, the last reviewer was from the organiser herself and stated the complete opposite to your review.

To remain discreet, I would like to kindly remind you that the dinner you attended was not a party, nor a function; it was a gathering in memory of a very special person. Aquarius was the chosen venue due to the simple fact that it was his favourite restaurant. After all, we did our very best to cater for your special requests as you made numerous "very last minute" changes to your meals.

The Barramundi fillet you had as a main was the standard size for a fresh fillet being 220g served with creamy roasted potatoes & Broccoli, The Chicken breast your partner had was 400g and served with eggplant mash & roasted capsicum sauce.
For your record, the gathering was on held Friday not Saturday as you stated.
