The service and view were great but unfortunately the food disappointed me a bit. I ordered duck which was cold and tough and dry, but still I had good time with the flawless service. The day I went was a bit cold and sat outside, so wait person always care about us for the heater. When I took off my jacket, he came straight away to ask if I was too hot and adjust the heater... cool.
Perfect. Food was really good and almost sensual. Mouthwatering and presented with perfection. I couldn't fault the service and the waitress only needed eye contact to know what we wanted. This was a dinner for two and I thought the evening went perfectly. Aqua is slightly on the pricey side for what you get but you can't fault the quality.
Food, not really good, I was expecting more because of the price. Price, overpriced, ambience great, service great, view the best, good to go once in a special day. I wouldn't go back again, once is enough.
This would have to be one of the most disappointing restaurants I have been to in a while. Went for lunch the first time and was bitterly disappointed, decided that it may be better for lunch but it was not to be. Food was quite unremarkable (ordered a side salad and got the core of the lettuce in the bowl with a limp lettuce leaf hanging on for dear life). For the price of the mains you would expect there to be more than a piece of meat on your plate!
The service was extremely poor, the staffs doesn’t come back to help you or to ask for more drinks in fact you get the impression that they would rather you weren't there at all. The sommelier was ok but couldn't give in depth information in regards to the wines; in fact we had to strike a conversation to get any information from him at all. The second guy that we asked about the wine described it as an all round wine (I didn't realise we were at a BBQ for the prices they charge).
Location is about the only thing going for this restaurant and even that is a little hit and misses depending on where you get seated. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone and will probably never go back.
Great restaurant. Ticks all the boxes. If you are looking for a special night out, would highly recommend it. Have visited numerous times for family dinners, Christmas celebrations etc. and has always been consistently good. The view is superb.
My ex boyfriend took me here when he was trying to win me back and it worked - well for a while anyway! The food is sensational - good sized portions and the staff make you feel so welcome. You are not rushed and they make great recommendations. Best to go in the evening as the view on the skyline is gorgeous. The bartender makes killer drinks too.
Stunning, beautifully presented food during a light lunch.
Lovely setting and great understanding and tolerance by the staff of two (non-dining) children waiting to go to Luna Park.
The highlight of our Sydney visit and can't wait to return!
Went for an impromptu Sunday lunch with a special friend - fortunate to obtain a table on the deck and was able to take in the views of the harbour as well as the swimmers doing their laps while we relaxed. Food was very good with our mains being the highlight - great value at $65 for 3 courses at lunch. Wine list has some interesting choices and not overpriced.
Look, a great location and very pleasant staff however the food whilst nice but totally forgettable and incredibly over priced. Really 3 solitary scallops for $31?? For these prices and such a location it ought to be a lot better.
