We ate here with a JumpOnIt voucher awhile back, it must have been before the 'alternate menu' scenario, so we found the food to be very nice, and reasonable value for money. The service was another story.

We booked ahead as requested for a Tuesday night, and arrived at our booked time to find the restaurant closed! When we did mention it the next day, they said "yes we were closed", no apology or acknowledgement. Can only assume there weren't enough bookings to warrant opening, would have been nice if they'd told us.

Since we did have the voucher we booked again and used it, and the food was quite good so I might consider dropping in some time in the future. But I wouldn't make a booking and count on them to keep it. Too bad because it is a nice place with nice food, hopefully those running it will raise their game to match.

I will never go here again! I also purchased a Jump On It Voucher from them and was seriously disappointed. We looked at the menu online before purchasing and read some reviews and decided it was a good deal. When we arrived we were handed a menu that had the most expensive costs for Thai food I have ever seen. I checked the menu outside the restaurant and the prices were much lower. After reading the other reviews I too think they are scamming people with two menus. I even questioned the waiter (the only waiter that night-there were 3people working) and told him that it was misleading advertising and asked if his prices had gone up, he pretended not to know what I was saying. The service was awful as expected when there is only one waiter. The food portions were not value for money and they got our order wrong. It is like they were trying not to get you to come back. I've never been so annoyed and was tempted to walk out regardless of having pre-paid but was persuaded to stay by my partner. The food was bland, the service was awful and I felt conned.

We had a voucher from Jump On It. I just wish that I had read the review from another customer on here prior to purchasing it.

Having been forewarned about the two menus, I was on alert! The mains were $10 more expensive than the take away prices online. The corkage had been manually changed from $2 per person to $3 per person, whilst online it was stated only $2.

My daughter and her husband ordered a prawn noodle dish ($25) When it arrived she counted only 4 prawns - the portion sizes were the smallest I've seen. Her husband counted 5 prawns. She brought it to the attention of the waiter, who categorically stated that there are always 6 prawns in the dish. My daughter advised him that it was very poor value.

I had a green curry and my partner also had a curry. Again, the flavour was excellent but serving sizes miniscule. We decided against ordering dessert as we were very unhappy at the cunning of these people. When we left we noticed that the serving sizes of other patrons was more generous than what we received.

I will be informing Jump On It of this situation. It left a bitter taste in our mouths and we certainly will not be returning or advising anyone to go there.
I am really annoyed at the tactics of these people to get people to dine there. Dishonest and conniving!

Such as shame as the food was really tasty and well cooked, but way too pricey! Much better value to be had elsewhere.

Had dinner here with my husband on friday 21/01/2011 at .

We had a JumpOnIt voucher which allowed us to order anything on the menu to the value of $70. On the restaurant's website only their take-away menu is visible (www.AppeThaiSing.com), so we expected higher prices for eating in but not 18.5% higher! As it turns out, the waiter handed us two different menus by mistake: one where All the dishes were 20% more expensive than the other (35% more expensive than their online menu!).

So we decided what we wanted according to the prices of the "cheaper" menu. When the waiter took our order, we handed back to him the "expensive" menu and kept the "cheaper" menu with the excuse we'd probably order more later.

We shared the peking duck pancakes as a starter and they were yummy, albeit definitely not Thai and the warm satay sauce on the side didn't have much to do with anything. As mains we had the coconut prawns and the duck with basil sauce stir-fry. Both mains were delicious: tasty, fresh and generous amounts of prawns and duck. To finish our meal we shared a black sticky rice and Thai custard dessert: scrumptuous! And for drinks we just had plain water (tap) and a coke.

When the bill came it was $88: $18 more than our voucher. But we said that didn't seem correct and proceeded to add up the prices again using the "cheaper" menu we had held on to. The waiter then said he must have given us the *old* menu by mistake, apologised, and told us the *new* prices were higher so we still owed $18. We protested saying we had ordered from the menu he gave us and the total was below $70, therefore, we would not pay anything extra.

In my opinion this was a scam. So, in my opinion, they had 2 menus: one for normal guests and one with higher prices for people with the $70 vouchers.
Had it not been for what was in my opinion a menu scam, I would actually recommend this place for the good food (though pricey). But as it stands, we will definitely not be back.

A quiet Sunday night a friend & I avoid the mayhem which is Hugos Lounge & decided to have Thai. The rest which was quiet except for two other tables is nicely designed, the ambience lacked I feel because of the lack of customers. The food was tasty & I would go back for it - if it wasn't so expensive. The service was great & couldn't have been more attentive, that said we were the only table. I hope this rest stays & succeeds as the area does need another addition to the dining scene.

This new restaurant has a lot going for it but it will have to lift its game for service. The fact that there was a bit party the night we were there could explain the slack service and we will give it a 2nd chance.

What we hope not to see again is for one of the floor staff walking around munching on her spring rolls while chatting with her friends, not a good look and the one serious black mark on this venture.
