Nice place but the food was very disappointing. My entree was nice but my main course which has spaghetti bolognese the sauce was lacking something. You think they can get a simple dish right, I guess I am wrong.
Cute little place. Love the fireplace and the artwork on the wall which make the place feel bigger. We were off to a great start! The entree of the antipasto for mum and I to share was to die for, mum's ceaser salad as a main was great then it all fell apart. My scallopini was the worst I have ever tasted. The sauce had so much wine and hardly any cream that it was watery and very sour. There were no mushrooms, no garlic, no onions or shallots and because there was so much wine when the veal was put in it was boiled and had a sickly colour. I ate the mash and the beans and one bite size piece of the veal, and left the rest. Was quite suprised that I wasn't asked if I liked the food or not since I left most on my plate. For a place that has only been open for 7 months I would think they would value all feedback, after that veal I am not sure I ever wanna go back and give it another try.... which is a pity.
Dinner was excellent! I had the Veal Scallopini and it was to die for. The Service is brilliant and cheerful and always at your beck and call. Check out the Golden Shell Dessert which is Hazelnut Gelato wedged together by Belgium Waffles and smothered with Custard Cream and Flaked Chocolate. Definitely worth the drive from Chatswood.
