We were greeted warmly by the very friendly and courteous staff member. It was a very chilly morning, and, having arrived early for breakfast, he went out of his way to ensure our comfort (moved the heater closer etc) and our menu order were attended to swiftly, the Big Breakfast was huge and delicious, the omelette declared the "best ever" by my fellow diner, and my banana bread, freshly squeezed juice and coffee were top notch. I cannot speak highly enough of the wonderful service and food at this cafe/restaurant.
We went here on a Friday and found the staff to be friendly and the owner wonderful. Not sure why it's known as a greek restaurant though! Coffee wasn't the best but the food was quite good.
This cafe looks very interesting from outside that's why I decided to try. The ambience is nice and comfortable. The food is alright, nothing special. The service was alright. However, there was this waitress, keep talking with her friends whom came for lunch. The price is quite expensive for the food which are not really excellent.
Coffee is not bad at all. The surcharge for the weekend though means that this place is not the one to drop in for a coffee because it bumps the price of a coffee up by 33%. I'd go back during the week though.
Well worth the time on a Saturday night. The proprietor is Spanish/Japanese (Spanish mother and Japanese father). He spent time explaining the menu and influences. Lovely paella and tapas (Spanish and Japanese based). Attentive and friendly staff for a low key evening. Room at the back to take larger parties. Not for red meat eaters though, pretty much restricted to the bolognaise sauce. But garlic seafood, chicken etc Mmmmmmm.
Definitely not Greek - the only thing Greek about it is the name the same as my great grandmother's. Service was bad, food mediocre, coffee bad. Only ended up there because most other places were full.
Not sure why this place is described as a Greek restaurant? It's run by a Japanese guy and has an eclectic range of dishes. Firstly I give him a very high score for the Japanese green tea which he imports direct from Japan. The best green tea I have had in Sydney. Secondly, I give high marks for the miso soup which is excellent. I like the ambience of the place where I can sit close to a window and watch people walk up and down Oxford street. I would avoid it on Saturday afternoons when it gets just too busy I think. But weekdays are fine.
