Had to wait 15-20 minutes for the nice hot food that makes you happy and warm to arrive on your table in front of you. First time I visited I was served by the young man (believe him to be the new manager), after the change in management.
Second I went with my sister the waitresses could speak little to no English at all except for "thankyou" when they received my payment, had to point at the items on written on the menu to order. Despite this, the quality of the food was terrific.
Third time I went was on a Wednesday lunch time. Travelled all the way from Penrith just to get the curry at this place but to my disappointment, curry was not available that day! I order a noodle soup instead. Maybe because I was lookin foward to the curry that I found the noodles in the soup not tasty enough.
The good thing about this place is that you're always thining about it and wish to re-visit for either lunch or dinner. You'll appreciate that they got rid of those awful mirrors that used to line the walls.
The place is almost hidden on the popular street of Johns Street with his unspectacular outside and inside. But the food is nice and cheap and one of the better vegetarian places I've eaten at.
Sometimes it's hard to know if you just ordered poorly. I had stuffed fried tofu, which was pretty bland really, the stir-fried cabbage it sat on was better. Cheap, but I'd probably try one of the other vegetarian restaurants in the area before going back.
