The food is much better under the new management. It is good quality Thai food- complex flavours that are authentic. Different from most other Thai restaurants in Australia where the food is thick and overloaded with garlic lemongrass, fish sauce, peanuts and oil. You won't get indigestion from it. The green and red curries are beautiful, packed with an array of flavours, the vegies taste fresh.
There is less meat in the food probably to compensate for the cost of cooking with good ingredients or paying good chefs. I hope some people appreciate good Thai food and the owners don't resort to selling simple and overpoweringly flavoured foods favoured here.
The shop is under new Management and all I can say is ok. The food is tasteless and the satay chicken is deep fried with tasteless sauce. I thought most of the satay should be grilled lyk in the thai restaurant in newtown. The dishes are @ reasonable prices, but with less meat in the food.
Even the other thai shop in Earlwood (u-know thai cuisine) has food that was magnificent, the service completely efficient and friendly, the food is freshly cooked infront of your eyes and most i am happy about this shop it has a fast service.
This is a good place for a quick lunch, food is good, not flash, and it's really cheap. I agree with others that have said the place is underrated and quiet.
After reading some reviews on here thought I'd give it a try. I ordered the BBQ chicken and all I can say was there was more fat than chicken and wasn't very flavoursome. My girlfriend ordered the Chicken cashew nut dish and there was hardly any chicken. Very disappointing, food was bland compared to other Thai places I have been to. Won't be returning.
I got takeaway from here a few months ago and there was broken glass in my food. I rang them a few times, but never got anything but an answering machine, I left a message telling them what had happened and leaving my name and number so they could call me back and apologise profusely (is that too much to ask?!). I never got a calls - they did nothing. They just ignored me.
This is an underrated Thai restaurant. The food I've found to be consistently very good - not super-fancy, but it's tasty and generous servings without being blow-your-mouth-off hot. Personally, I prefer the food at this restaurant to many Thai restaurants in Newtown.
