Excellent tasty food delivered with informative and attentive staff. Try the mix platter, a little bit of everything. The food comes quickly and has that home made taste and care flavour. BYO and cash only are the two things to note here. The bottle shop across the road at the pub is way too expensive for takeaway.

I'm Lebanese and have tried many Lebanese restaurants in the South West (Bankstown and Lakemba), this is the first time I check the Surry Hills Strip and we landed in Amira randomly on a Saturday Lunch, I 3 westeners with me who did not try Leb food before and their feedback was it's divine, for me not bad but I've seen better.

Food: Freshness can be measured by the hommos and tabouli which taste lemony and dry respectively if not made fresh. Ambience: no frills, clean and not noisy being on the corner of cleveland and Elizabeth. Service: quick with 2 tables only, and courteous bilingual waiter/cook (1 man show), they accept all credit cards which is unusual for Lebs!

Value: $28 pp (total $104) for the banquet may be good value for Surry Hills but I would have paid half that in greenacre, for 4 people we got medium Hommos + Baba Ghanouj, 4 skewers of meat, 4 vine leaves, 4 cabbage leaves, 1 small dish of loubieh (green beans) and coffee and 4 baclavas.

Went to Wilson's with a large group of university friends, the atmosphere was great from the moment they welcomed us, to the moment we left. The service was reasonable, timely, and inconspicuous.

We ordered the 8 courses (or was it 10?) for an odd $30, and let me agree with the others who've said the appetizers are fantastic! I wasn't entirely full after the meal, but this was not due to the lack of serving size, Wilson's is great value. I can't really comment on the authenticity myself, but the lebanese and middle eastern people in our group commented that the recipes were on the 80-90% mark. In all, a great place to eat and spend time with friends/family.

If you are with a big laughing, smoking crowd and want to jiggle your stuff with the belly dancer, this is the place for you. If you are looking for good food, you will be disappointed. As is the case with Indian food, most locals have no idea what good middle eastern cuisine should taste like. Having lived in the Middle East for 13 years, restaurants like these are a disappointment.

Went to Amiras on a Saturday night for a friend's farewell party. This place was the perfect start off for our long night. The food was exceptional. The flavours were unbelievable. The variety was great. I haven't been to too many Lebanese restaurants before but I will make sure this place is on my list of regulars.

The belly dancer was awesome, I didn't know that I could shake my backside so well. Oh and make sure you take it slow and easy on the food, so much of it comes out you have to make sure you've got enough room for it all.

See you again sometime!

A few mates from work and I went to Amira's for dinner and it was a night to remember, it was fantastic, the food was great, the falafel chicken ladies fingers and the homous.

The place has a weird entry as the cushion room is upstairs but it is worth every cent we spent there. The belly dancer was too good, she got us all up to dance even though I had no idea what I was doing. Overall it needs a little reno but when you start with the great food and service that is provided, you just can't think of anything but the sensational taste and range of food. This place gets the thumbs up it was GR8.

Make no notice of the comment below.. I am a loyal customer of Amira's palace and I must say of all their menu items the chicken has to be the best, it melts in your mouth, its full of flavour. I was there for a birthday last week and the place was full, its upstairs and the atmosphere is great. The place is pretty new and very clean. I love this place and no I am not a family member so I really recommend going here for a fun night and escpecially having the chicken, you won't regret it.

We came for a family get together and thoroughly enjoyed the food ! Service was friendly and the chicken was brilliant ! And the belly dancer wasn't too bad either.
