This is our favourite Italian restaurant in Australia! We've been 3 times, and each time been impressed by fantastic food and service. We keep trying different meals, and they continue to surprise us. Perfect for a date!

I have dined at Amicis 4 or 5 times over the last few years and have never been disappointed in my experience. My parter and I went back in January 2011 and had another fantastic meal/experience.

We had a dozen natural oysters and the caesar salad as entrees, the oysters were good sized and fresh. The caesar was pretty good too, for $14.50 they could have used some more parmesan cheese and bacon though.

For our mains we had the spaghetti marinara and fettuccini carbonara, the marinara seafood was fresh and delicious and carbonara was as awesome as I remembered. Portion sizes were very decent as well, my partner and I left the restaurant stuffed with no room for dessert.

We went on a Monday night so it wasn't too busy and we had the better part of half the restaurant to ourselves which made the ambience nice. We will be going back a bit more regularly from now on. Highly recommended!

Elementary economics teaches that monopolies and protected industries seldom if ever produce exciting, innovative and high quality products. The restaurant scene in Mona Vale is test-amount to this theory, in that Amici Di Tony would never survive outside the stifled restaurant scene of the insular peninsular.

The food is acceptable at best but formulaic and dull most of the time, and struggles to raise itself beyond the abilities of a student let loose at home for the first time without parental supervision.

The menu is one of the least exciting or diverse I have seen for quite a while, leaving the diner not to salivate at the choice but to wonder why you didn't read it outside before entering, as the bland choices leave nothing to excite.

Dining should be a pleasant experience, rather than a necessity to sustain life. However, the service is characterless, inefficient and unwilling. Thankfully our food wasn't long coming allowing us to depart after two courses in under 40 minutes.

This leads to the feeling that you really may have been better off at some fast food restaurant where the impetus for all involved is to be in and out with as much speed as possible, not a feeling I am happy with after looking at the egregious pricing.

Extremely disappointing for a long standing Mona Vale local and very poor value for money. After many years and visits I'll not be back. This is a restaurant well past it's best and is on the downhill slope.

A very competent place indeed and exceptional service with real warmth. Go early as its success makes later sittings a bit noisy.

Great restaurant! Hidden away upstairs, I didn't even know it was there until we were given a voucher as a gift for the birth of our son. The service was very classy, better than you'd expect on the Northern Beaches (sorry, but it's true). We were made to feel special and the food was great. We'll go back for a special occasion, or when we feel we deserve a cut above the rest.

This is not a traditional Italian Restaurant, it's in Mona Vale remember not Naples, but the food is good and the Maitre D' is a professional who really makes you feel welcome. The service never ever slowed on the Friday night we attended. It's maybe not the cheapest in the area but it is a genuine restaurant, not a converted shop. Good family place. Parking is right at front door.

Food was very nice here, portions are good too.

Entrees: Calamari was very fresh it was like cutting through butter really nice and the garlic bread was great too. Mains: Lamb roast was nice served with mash and steamed vegetables with a brandy and garlic gravy and my friend had lamb shanks which was super tender and fell off the bone, it was also served with mash and steamed veggies.

We were so full that we could not fit dessert in, but the desserts looked so delicious, next time I go I will try the dessert. All in all a good experience, service was excellent, you can't ask for me really.

Finally tried this restaurant, that seems to have a loyal local following. Food was far better than I expected to find in Mona Vale, though this is not a cheap restaurant. Scampi were slightly 'charred' which was disappointing for the price. Only thing that really let it down though was a 'dodgy' older female waitress, all seemed too be too much effort for her. Not appropriate when you're in business.

This is one of mine & my partners favourite little places to eat. I have dined at some of Sydney's best restaurants and I can say that food, the service & the grappa here are a cut above the rest! Marco, the head waiter always makes you feel special and Singhs passion for food makes each visit a memorable experience. Thanks guys.
