I brought a Living Social deal and always find this a great way to find some really fantastic restaurants. I was particularly looking forward to this one as I live in Pyrmont and it sounded great.

I honestly do not know where to start on this place that calls itself a restaurant. I used to be able to say I have ever eaten a truly bad meal in my life, that is until I dined at Alekevs!

Each course was worse than the other, it was pure misery with every bite. There were only ourselves and one other couple in the restaurant at the time and I can understand why after our meal. The only redeeming thing of the place was a lovely waiter. I have no idea how the people in kitchen received or held a job there because the food that came out I would not serve to my worst enemy.

I have warned all my family and friends not to go there and I feel it is in the best interest of the public that I do the same here.

This has to be the worst restaurant I have ever eaten in. We bought a Living Social deal and could not believe that the food was supposed to be valued at over $100. We got ordered surf and turf and lamb shanks (Due to the fact that there was only one steak available even though there was only 4 people in the entire restaurant).

The steak was about 5mm thick and over cooked, the prawns came out with their heads still on. The lamb shanks were so tough that I thought I would have to bring them home to my dog so that somebody would be able to pull the meat off the bone.

The waiter was nice but we had to wait ages between courses, a thing I normally don't mind doing but when the food is this poor you would have to question what the staff were at.

I would advise people to avoid this restaurant if at all possible as it will only lead to disappointment and a large hole in your pocket. I rarely give out about food but this was definitely the worst food I have ever had the misfortune of buying.

Terrible! I bought the Living Social Deal. This was the worst experience I have received! The prawns had no taste and were over cooked. The steak was chewy and not med-rare, the lamb shanks were dry. The creme brulee was tasteless and the cheese cake was weeks old and dry!

They couldn't even mash potato properly, it was lumpy! The service was the best thing about it, however, the service staff couldn't bother sweeping the outdoor area so we sat in leaves and used cigarette buds! Terrible!

Had a wonderful night at this fantastic restaurant in Pyrmont. Meals were excellent value for money in a beautiful atmosphere. The meals that were presented tasted divine, fresh and full of flavor! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely night out!

Huge menu! We go here everytime we are in Pyrmont. Always something for everyone. Whether you want a light salad or a huge meal, there are just so many options. Its run like a ma and pa business too, you are always dealing with the owners and service is fabulous and friendly. Prices are Very reasonable, see you next time!

The Best Cafe in Sydney!

Ok, I'm really really picky with my cafes, I can find something wrong with almost every place but in all honesty I cannot fault this place. My gf lives in a flat above it and we eat here about 3-4 times a week it is just fabulous.

They have raw sugar, something that really annoys me is cafes that serve coffee but only carry white sugar, stop living in the 90's! They have the sugar on the table, so you don't have to annoy them for more when you have a pot of tea that makes two cups.

They have a Huge menu, so you can find anything you want on there, if you want a salad and your partner wants a steak and his brother wants a thai dish and your mother wants risotto and you are all out together, Goto this place (someone below was whinging about how there were too many choice? you're a weirdo).

Service is lovely and always friendly. Prices are great, there are special on all the time ($9.90 breakfast is amazing). Coffees are always good, never had a bad one yet and I have been getting 3-4 week there for 6 months!

Excellent service, but the food is average. Very home cooking style. Perhaps, they need to decrease the size of the menu a little and concentrate on perfecting a few dishes.

Great value for money, great food, and wonderful friendly staff! I am slowly making my way through the menu and I haven't been disappointed yet.

Great food, Chicken and Sundried tomato pasta and club sandwich are definitely the winners here! Quick and friendly service with a smile. Definitely be back!

Finally a place that makes a decent burger in pyrmont. Only let down no beetroot. But hey, I can add my own! Really gret place! Go back everyday.
