We've eaten in Alberto's before; agree with previous reviews that the seating area is quite casual. We recently got takeaway for a large party, got Deal 2 and Deal 7 which scored us 5 pizzas, 1.25L drink, and garlic bread for $82. Far yummier than chain store pizza...more expensive but well worth it!
The Pollo (chicken), Supreme and Alberto's Special went down extremely well with our guests - completely devoured! Hawaiian and Calabrese were less popular, a slight disappointment for me because I love Hawaiian pizza but Alberto's version was nothing to write home about.
Updated review, July 2008: stopped into Albertos Pizzeria to order 1 Napoletana pizza (anchovies, olives, sliced tomato) and encountered the owner (Alberto) and his "Marco Polo" hospitality. If you ever bump into him, he is quite a character! The pizza was ok (I'm not that fond of anchovies) but I was most warmed by his kindness in giving us a free garlic bread!

Delivery service was great. Yummy pizza and big serve. Pizza arrived in about 30 minutes on a Sat night. Friendly staff over the phone and also the delivery person. Will definitely be using as my Newtown take-away pizza from here on. Have eaten in before, ambience is simple old style, if you are not taken in by pretentious trimmings its the way a pizza shop should be.

The pizza and pasta is quite good with generous serves and great taste. Service is always friendly, helpful and quick. Seating area is casual old style pizzeria.

Very nice food here. The pizza was delicious, the lasagne was possibly the best tasting lasagne I've ever had and I really enjoyed the gelato as well.

Never disappointed with the food, sure the restaurant itself isn't too exciting but you make what you want of it. It's a great pit-stop on the way home from the pub to grab a cheap little pizza.

The food here is delious and reasonably priced too. The atmosphere leaves a lot to be desired but the food is well worth it. The staff are very friendly and the food is well worth it.

I've been a customer for some time. The pizza's are great and their specials are quite reasonable. Unfortunately, their delivery drivers are disappointing and are off-putting for 'dine-in' purposes. Strongly recommend take-away.
